I saw a preview showing of Oh, Hi! last night. I don't really recommend it. It was partly comedy, partly drama, maybe a smidgen horror, and the sum didn't add up to much. Good enough if you aren't expecting much and you can find a cheap ticket, but at regular movie prices it's not worth it.

National Treasure (2004)- Love this movie because the chain of clues and treasure sound plausible, and consider it Nicolas Cage’s best movie. I did not care for the second one, that in contrast felt very formulaic, implausible, and over the top.

The Godfather part 1

if you haven't tried YouTube Premium give it a look. Its tough to go back thats for sure.

I watched the director's cut once upon a time. What I remember learning is that they made The Godfather on a shoestring budget. They took all kinds of shortcuts to limit expenses. It's amazing that it turned out so well.

Venom (1981)

Terrorists in the process of kidnapping a child get trapped in a house with an extremely deadly snake.

Oliver Reed & Klaus Kinski so you know you're going to be entertained. Not their best showing, but above average for the period and still holds up today. Doesn't hurt that Susan George is also part of the cast, albeit briefly :)

i've yet to watch any newer supermans, will i still enjoy it even tho i didn't see the one before this?
Yes, it goes into his backstory a bit. So as long as you know the general story of Superman you'll be fine. This isn't related to the others at all really with it's story.

This is blasphemy! This is madness! - Madness...? This Is Sparta!

Q-6

I never saw that but this film is feeding a lot of political discourse that I partially agree with and is partially enraging.

Hint: it's based on a comic not meant to be actual history.

I like this movie but i'll never forgive it for what it did to DC
For myself, this ties into my love hate transitional relationship with AI. When I saw it, I was still in my hate AI mode. I still hate styilized CGI but when it becomes basically indistinguishable from reality then I might be hopelessly sucked in. ;)

* fixed, meant CGI, not AI…
