Galaxie Quest (1999)- The best space spoof movie ever made… Cdr Taggert does his best to save the Termites, or was that The Dalmatians? Wonderful performances.

I’m 1hr into “Warfare”, took a break to make dinner. Watching it with my 19yr old Marine son, who’s home for wedding this weekend.
I’ll post non spoiler impressions after finishing

Powerful film.

The character could have had a chance at a better life after the war had he known the author Viktor Frankl. Anyway, the obvious PTSD and flashbacks formed him into emotionless shell of a man whose only life and safety came from his shop and making a buck.

In the end it almost felt like an episode of The Twilight Zone in that he had enough of life and pain and wanted to die, but circumstances held that he had to remain and suffer even longer.

Had a few good laughs watching this one. I generally struggle to find a comedy I'll enjoy, so I take what I can get - this one was at least okay if not more, in my book.
Tim Robinson's sense of humor... lol.

What a goof.

That ending, we watched the entire film just to see that. lol.

Just watched "V is for Vendetta" for the first time. Kind of depressing even with the hopeful ending. Watched a cute, beautiful short anime film called BAAN to put me i n a hopeful mood.

Jeez. after watching this movie, I don't know what to think about it exactly. Reviews call this dark or black comedy but I see it more as an ultra-cringey drama based on a no-friends weirdo man trope. I mean an unhappy, sexless marriage + potty mouthed rent-free emotionally detached manchild in tow + midlife crisis + psychotic clingy obsessive desperation + rejection at work & with neighbors + drugs = could this hypotehtical person/dynamic actually exist or reflect reality in any way, anywhere? It is hard for me to see this as realistic or identifiable in any capacity rather the warped misandrous creation of ... I dont know what exactly. About the only part that seems realistic in any way is how the only person who does accept him for who the protagonist Craig is is the phone guy/drug dealer and its pretty clear that is because he just wants to get paid. The rest of this is just a ride on the whackadoodle and this is suprising to me as the writer/director is happily married with two children, so by all societal markers, a successful man and husband/father. Acting was fine from all actors but the direction was not something I cared for.

LOL An interpretation of a married mans life or what it becomes if you dont make/have adult man friends? - psycho, drug using, B&A gun thief soap eater? I dunno, this one was all over the place for me. Its hard for me to recommend this one unless you enjoy wallowing in unending, cringe torture.

Pretty good summation though...
