Been there done that..I watched this movie not many times because it brings back old hateful memories. From April 1986 to April 1988 I served under a commanding officer like the one in this movie (LCDR Queeg in the movie). Everyone onboard went through living hell for two years. The whole crew looked forward to the Change of Command Day.

We have our great grand kids coming over to visit this weekend. I had to go find the DVD they requested to watch while they're here. It's been many years since I seen this movie. 🤣

The HP Lovecraft Historical Society did their utmost, resulting in a film that is a testament to their appreciation of his writing. It's evident how hard they toiled on the project, being very much funded & supported by volunteers. Simply a group of fans who just wanted to see the film come to fruition. The The Whisperer in Darkness goes beyond being a horror film, being very much a labour of love.
