Use DPD next time, they have always been pretty good delivering stuff from Amazon and arrive when their email says they will.
Also weren't packages sent by Royal Mail or ParcelForce as I think they have different websites?
Ah well Christmas has been saved! And some poor sod in customer services has been spared my wrath lol It was delivered today. Next time I will use DPD though.

I bought the nimbus controller today to use with my Apple TV.

Nothing at all.

I'm at a point where I am perfectly happy with the gadgets I have. I purchased a 27" iMac this spring, and an iPad Air this August. Rather than gadgets, I wished for a brand new set of K2 skis, and some much needed gear this year. Just tried them out this past weekend and had a blast. Can't wait to revisit the slopes.

At this stage unless you are desperate for a new phone, I'd wait to see what they do with the S7 as we're talking 12 weeks only
I know that the S7 is essentially around the corner, but I have no doubt in my mind that it's going to be prohibitively expensive, even on contract (another of the reasons I'm leaving the iPhone). Up until just a few days ago, the very phone I was looking at (Galaxy S6 with 64GB of storage) was $360 on a contract. Now, it's $150. Hell, even the 128GB model is $110 less than the initial price of the 64GB model. We're not wealthy people. Besides, I think I'll be happy with it for as long as I have it. My brother got the Samsung Galaxy S4 about 5 months back and he's been quite happy with it. It's still pretty quick, and it runs pretty much any game he plays.

I also got the iPhone 5 just a couple months before it was superseded by the iPhone 5S and I was still pleased with it up until recently, particularly the launch of iOS 8 because starting in iOS 8, a weird bug was introduced that causes music to sometimes sound like really bad radio static on my car's stereo. That bug can only be resolved by restarting the phone (and it comes back a couple days later), and it persists in iOS 9.2. Another thing my phone started doing was refusing to work on WiFi until I restarted it, where it would repeat the behaviour a few days later. Plus, the battery probably doesn't have much life left in it. The battery in my first iPhone 5 crapped out within a year of getting it.

Even if we could still get Fido Dollars (it was a promotional thing my carrier recently discontinued, where you could rack up Fido Dollars which could be used towards a new phone. That's how I got my iPhone, we had so many Fido Dollars we only paid like $20 to buy the phone on contract) I wouldn't get another iPhone. I'm just a little disappointed with where certain aspects of iOS have gone.

I would wait for the Galaxy S7 - only problem is that it's going to be expensive. Plus, this is my Christmas gift.

If it's a Christmas present and you like the S6, get it, it's won more awards since launch then I can count! It's a nice phone at bargain prices now.

In that case go for the S6. You are right there are some very good deals if price is a factor. Though I will say the resale price of the S6 range last year fell quickly after launch. I picked up a S6 Edge + for €450 sealed and network unlocked on the resale market only a week after it was launched. So there are options available to get a new device significantly cheaper.

That being said the S7 is meant to be an incremental update to the S6 - so if you can get a great deal, rest assured your still getting a great handset :)
