Since we are getting it late and everything. Do you think they'll add some cool features for iOS 4.1? I find it ridculous both devices don't have the same versions since it's basically THE SAME HARDWARE. What do you look forward to that hasn't already been revealed for iOS 4? Personally, just give me the quasi-multitasking feature and I'm good, because Pandora is absolutely useless app without it.

In one sentence I can sum up my wants:

The Ability to alter, adjust, sort, arrange more things without having to dock to a computer (PC or Mac) all the time to do it.

There you go, hows that :)

I'm hoping for something a little unique for the ipad, something inbetween and iphone app and an OSX application, although i don't exactly know what that could be yet but if we need to wait till the fall it tells me they are working on something special for the ipad

I really want Apple to make the iPad a bit less dependant on a computer, this will make it a real alternative to a Netbook or whatever. Like with USB Mass Storage support through the Camera Connection Kit, so I don't have to use my Mac to get a file onto it (from a USB stick for example). Multitasking, which we know is coming. Printing support (again, through the Camera Connection Kit).

Some of these things in iOS 4 I think would really enhance the iPad.

You can ask for it to be a computer replacement but that's not Apple's plan. They have a long road map and will slowly add functionality over time. See iPod. See also iPhone.

updated clock, stock, calendar, contact apps. They are going to make it a more "personal computer" while still leaving it dependant on an actual computer. Think of it as a "big iPhone" but with more in-depth apps (and no phone).

1. Traditional Chinese support
2. Improved picture handling
3. Ability to 'mass delete' pictures
4. Ability to delete pictures from thumbnails, not just full screen images.
5. A clock app with a countdown to sleep timer
6. Ability to download and install .epub files w/o going through iTunes or the iBook store.
7. Coverflow in iPod.app.

Multiple user accounts. - email in particular. Don't want the kids reading my emails! But try and keep the away from the damn thing. Yes there may be password restrictions but you should be able to have completely separate accounts so they can't even delete my iWork docs by mistake

More use of the home screen and lock screens and the search should be everywhere

Bring back cover flow. Realize the covers would be blocky make it small with track listings etc.

Video sorting and viewing is rubbish list view????

Clock clock clock alarm alarm alarm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Widgets on the home page even

Freely movable icons. Locked Grid is stupidly outdated.

Custom keyboard. Number pad and arrow keys in landscape

Better safari page management slide the page title left and right to switch

Notifications suck... But they've hird the palm guy that did the pre notification which are great... So that's good.

Oh and stop safari from reloading a page if it loses connection

We are getting it late, even though the hardware is 99% the same, because the team that was working on the IPad worked in complete secrecy away from the iPhone (and iPhone os4) group. That's why the iPad has a special version of ios 3.2 that none of the iPhone have... They took what was on the iPhone and added/modified that in secret while another team was off working on iOS4. Now that the iPad is out in the wild, all the special stuff thAt was added into 3.2 over 3.1 have to be ported into 4.x and apps like mail and calendar need to be merged together into a single unified app.

These things take time....

Relax. We will get it. And to be honest, we probably will get the 4.1 version with a lot of the 4.0 bugs fixed after all the iPhones find them.

Pure awesomeness. Thats what.

There is more to life then "Pure awesomeness."

updated clock, stock, calendar, contact apps.

They already updated those. (aside from the first two) so I dobut they will update them again.

What kind of E-mails are they that your kids are too young to see?

Always back up on the computer. Perhaps have a feature to back up on mobile me?

More use of the home screen and lock screens and the search should be everywhere

swipe your finger to the right.

Bring back cover flow. Realize the covers would be blocky make it small with track listings etc.

Cover flow yes. but I dont get your last part.

Video sorting and viewing is rubbish list view????
I see movie posters

Clock clock clock alarm alarm alarm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This would be great. The UI needs to be good though, not cookie cutter.

He looks calm to me…….. besides you got a source for that info?

Tap the little "sharing" icon at the top, tap the pictures you want to delete in the album thumbnail view, tap delete, and presto, number 4 is a reality today!

Having used iOS4 for a couple of months on my 3GS, I must say I can't wait to get folders on the iPad.

Having to swipe through page after page of apps is just so... March 2010. :)

I would like multitouch gestures for multi tasking, widgets, and face time with an iSight camera made for iPad.

They have not "updated" these, they released a new version with 3.2 for the ipad

For example the calendar. If you tap on a day nothing visual happens but that is the day that will come up if you add a event. There needs to be a visual confirmation of the day that was tapped.

so please before spending 20 minutes adding up all those comments to reply to, come up with educated answers cause most of them were pointless.

Multitasking. This is the main feature for this device, and then i think that my 13" Macbook will be fully transformed to my bedroom "desktop", and only in few limited specific situation i will need to carry my MB Air.

Everyday i am stronger convinced that iPad is the greatest hit in Apple's recent history.

For most of us folders will be a big help. Definitely looking forward to that!

and what kind of "visual" reminder do you want? Flashy graphics? No need for that.

Nope I disagree. And ya sure you responded to every single sentence of every post in this thread? Geez

I don't see me responding to every "single sentence of every post in this thread"
