I use the belkin anti glare one that they sell at the apple store. Screen feels nice and smudge free.

Those are excellent. I recently ordered a pack of the iCarez anti-glare matte screen protectors off of Amazon, which are similar, and they too are excellent and were easy to apply.

Another anti glare that is decent is the Mothca matte protector. Full screen and amazing application. I am so darn fussy when I do an installation. I must have taken this one off and reinstalled 10 times due to not having it perfectly aligned. My operator error - no issues with the protector. This is the first time that I’ve actually had a protector hold up to that abuse. 😁. I do like it pretty well but as with all matte protectors, there is some degradation of clarity. I’m not sure if I’ll get used to that or not.

People usually use tempered glass screen protectors, but tempered glass screen protectors are expensive, break easily, and feel average. Has anyone used TPU screen protectors? Can provide the following comments
Yes, some good quality tempered glass protectors are expensive and will break eventually as you said. That's why I use a film screen guard from Gadgetshieldz which is easy to install with liquid, can self-heal the scratches that occur on it, and is good with touch sensitivity. A back case that covers the edges of the screen is more than enough for the full protection of the phone!

What tempered screen protectors are you using that are expensive? There's lots of affordable and good quality options. TPU is worse than tempered and not as good, it's literally plastic. If you want something really expensive but made of Sapphire get a Shellrus otherwise tempered is the most viable solution for a reason.
I’m getting a Shellrus today. 🤞🏻That it’s worth the extra money. I’m hoping the oleophobic coating is good. That’s mainly why I use a protector.

Never used one in my life also never had a smashed screen. Fully accept that's at least partly down to pure luck but I also think it's at least partly down the fact I've always treated my smartphones with a huge amount of care and respect because purchasing them has always been a pretty substantial commitment for me, be it outright or contract. I see other people tossing them around like they got them by collecting tokens from cereal packets, or literally letting their babies chew on them.

Have never used a screen protector going back to my iPhone 3gs. Never had a broken screen. I guess they have some scratches but never really noticed. I always use a case however.

I too take very good care of my phone. But it is a mobile device so it's always on the move -- anything can happen. Also, my phone spends a lot of time in my pocket. My pockets are sometimes (unintentionally) a repository for debris -- a loose coin, a misplaced key, a errant pebble, a pen, etc. any of which have the capacity to scratch a defenseless iPhone screen or case.

As John Malkovich said in Dangerous Liaisons, "It's beyond my control."

Bear in mind I'm not saying that people only need a screen protector because they're careless: first time I come out with that arrogant claim, Karma will come to get me I'm 100% sure. However I really don't have to look far to find people who don't treat their phones with the same care and attention as other possessions they've spent the same - or less - money on, so I think there's definitely some truth to it.

Mrs Fubar goes ape if I've touched her £50 hair straighteners because 'don't I know how easy they are to break', but her £300 Samsung Android something or other could be anywhere at any time, from buried under a load of cr-p in her handbag, shoved down the back of the sofa, under the seat in the car, or up the cat's a*se. And yes the phone is on its second screen in as many years.

I got my Shellrus today. Very easy to install. I’m extremely fussy so it took me a few times to get an installation that I was satisfied with. The protector leaves a crisp view to the screen. I don’t find the feel any different than any other protector. Others have mentioned a cooler feel as it dissipates heat faster. It definitely covers more of the screen than any other protectors that I have used. So it might not work with all cases. Works fine with the Apple silicone. Only one negative - the embedded Sapphire logo on the bottom left. It’s not really noticeable but I’d rather not have it on there at all.

I will update in a month or so on how the oleophobic coating holds up.

oh I didn`t know that they reintroduced the Logo on the Scren Protector. My first one for the iPhone 12 Pro had the logo. I could only see it with the screen off and with sunlight shining on it. For my 13 Pro Max there is no logo. I read that they added the logo with invisible ink.

How has the oleophobic coating held up for you?

It is really good. Also after 1 year it does not get as much fingerprints as my ESR iPhone 12 Mini Screen Protector.
I am really happy with it overall. I dropped it a few times and also did not crack. During the year I had to replace the Glass on my 12mini twice.

Well, mine lasted 2 weeks. I liked it. Yesterday I glanced down and noticed a scratch and a chip near the top. I didn’t drop the phone or bang it. Obviously something came in contact with it. Had an Apple silicone case on it which is still perfect. I’ve never had a broken screen protector with any others. Ever. And of course the most expensive one doesn’t last 2 weeks. So disappointing.

oh really? Ir dropped mine a few times. Even without case and not a sincle scratch or chip. Did you order from the website directly? If not maybe you got scammed.
Today I preordered mine for the 14PM.

I got a replacement for half price and that one cracked with the slightest amount of pressure while trying to get dust off during the installation. I contacted them again and have one coming.

In the meantime, I put on a FloLab and so far liking it even better - true edge to edge coverage - might not work with all cases but fine with mine. Also, so far, excellent oleophobic coating. Rarely a fingerprint and when there is one, wipes right off. The FloLab might be my new favorite protector.

Are these iCarez Screen Protectors also available in Germany? I can’t find them here on Amazon available.

Or are there any good ones you can recommend for a German customer?
