Since I named my new Mac after her, I made this background with my D&D character, Lilinia.

9 times out of 10, I use CMD+Space to open an app. Same on iPhone, almost never on iPad. But, I prefer dock on left because I usually need more height not width. I wonder what a portrait mode laptop would look like?

Actually I know, I use portrait on iPad with external keyboard. 😀

If you have a lot of windows open behind one another and have the dock on the left or right, try using Command + Tab. It will show you all the apps you currently have open, and you can tab to the one you want to bring to the front.

I use CMD-Space extensively, as well. I've kept the dock visible because I like to see what's running. I tend to close apps that I'm not using to extend battery life. However, I keep forgetting I can see that same info by doing a CMD-Tab and hitting 'Q' to close them from there.

I think I'm going to set my dock show delay back to 1000 seconds, so it never pops up and go back to CMD-Space exclusively.
