Very first was Macintosh Performa 6400/180 and ended up selling to my cousin not too long afterwards. I liked the integrated subwoofer which would alert everyone in the house that I had turned the computer on.

This and this:

I can't remember which one came first, but they were both bought very close together. The MacBook was a base model 2007 that I bought for sixth form college (but rarely used it for that purpose in the end haha) and the iPod nano was a present - it was silver and 4 GB IIRC.

We also had a 2006 iMac G5 (with iSight camera built in) but that was the family Mac and not one that I could call my own so to speak.

Mine is the original Mac from 1984 (with the team signatures etched inside the case). I still have in the closet along with the original ImageWriter printer etc.

My first Apple device was a 2007 white CoreDuo MacBook. Coming from Unix/Linux, I liked that OSX Tiger was also Unix under the hood, so I could use my trusted Unix commands in Terminal. Gave it to my sister when I upgraded to a 14-inch MacBook Pro in 2009, she has used it since for email and light-duty web browsing. During that time I upgraded the HDD twice, upgraded OS X finally to Leopard, and replaced the ribbon cable feeding the display and camera. That last repair showed the plastic lid having become brittle over time, requiring superglue to fix the display panel back into place. Otherwise, still going strong.😍

P.S. That 2009 14-inch MacBook Pro (the last model before the unibodies) also still going strong with another relative. Indestructible those models were...

I'm surprised that's unbelievable to you -- I daily drive a 15" and regularly use a G3 for stuff. Plenty of people online keeping care of computers from the '70s.

It is not unbelievable to me. The statement was for people who are not familiar with that particular system and its build quality. I took the system around the world and it got me through MBA school.

1987, Mac SE. 1mb ram, 40 mb hdd, 3.5” “floppy” disk drive.
Eventually inserted a card for a RasterOps 20”(?) b/w monitor.
Loved that machine.

My first apple product was probably apple sauce. LOL

Bad jokes aside... It was a Macintosh SE. First and--to date--only new computer I've had. I also got a ImageWriter II printer to go along with it.
