Yea I understand that. I read your edited post talking about marketing and how you don't like Samsung's and in turn don't like Samsung as a company that much. Which again I understand that too. Since you like Apple and the iphone more than any other smartphone that would be a turn off to me too. I like what they are trying to do even if I do like Apple. I think Apple comes across as arrogant to me, and that is a turn off.

If I were you I would give both phones a try and see what you like. Read a lot of reviews because they usually know what they are taking about. I can just say skins on android and android have come a long way. If you really like features that come with a skin, but don't like the skin that much then you can just download a launcher and you are good to go. Since you like the Blinkfeed you may really like the One.

I like you feel like we are about a year away from seeing Apple doing anything hugely different. Which is fine because the 5s will still sell out pre orders and sell millions. Are you going to get the 5s?

Probably not.

Probably not.

That is one thing I never understood is people that buy iphones every year. The S model is going to look just like the one you have. It will be a bit faster, but the current model is going to be fast enough. I don't know maybe it is just me.

Now I know a lot of people will say what about Samsung and the S4. I think they made a design change ( while it was small) still something different. I think it is worth the one year upgrade.

If I wasn't looking to upgrade both my Android AND iPhone, I would likely upgrade to the 5S....I have had each iPhone since the 3GS - though not necessarily because I wanted it. I don't like being on the "S" path (3GS - 4S - 5S) and would much rather be on the 3G -4 -5 track. I didn't plan on buying the 4S, but my 4 was acting funky and it was out of warranty - I could either pay $250 to get a new iPhone 4 or use my upgrade and get a 4S for $199....

The 5 was what I really was wanting so when it came out, I went ahead and got that.

The thing is - if I'm not impressed by the Android offerings come September, I may simply wait and upgrade to the new iPhone each year while stay with the off-contract Nexus line. That's another possibility for me.

I can understand that. I find people on here that have to have the lastest iPhone each year just because it is the newest thing. That is what I don't understand.

Ya - that's not just an iPhone user thing....happens with all tech. Always about the latest and greatest.

I'm not all that picky, nor demanding of my tech (except my internet speed at home :p). I haven't had a phone yet that hasn't worked for me.

Yea the only thing with Apple is the iphone does not Year to year. Some phones do. I seem to switch from different OEMs of each year. I guess you could say I am not loyal to any one company. Like them all.
