I decided to spend the money and order the Sony WF-1000XM3. Of course, you can't find them anywhere, but I have them order from Amazon. Maybe by Xmas.

1More wireless here. Some reviewers have said too bass heavy, but I'm not finding that. Sound is VERY good IMHO. Absolutely solid in the ear too.

had both the Bose Soundsport and the Bose Soundsport Free Wireless earbuds, but recently I decided to take the splurge and try the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless. The Sennheisers just blow away anything other wireless earbuds I’ve heard. I’m super impressed with these, but I do have to admit, they’re a bit expensive. Worth it to me though.

Totally agree. Sound is pretty darn close to that of my much more expensive speakers and headphones. Absolutely worth the price if you love great sound.

One of the frustrating things about purchasing headphones and earphones is that it is very difficult to test drive and compare them. There is one U.S. web retailer (forgotten the name) who allows you to try out various headphones until you find the ones you like. I'm not sure if they would do the same for in-ear.

I considered the WF-1000XM3. It certainly is good choice. But it turns out that many of its features, such as the ANC, longer battery life, and controls just aren't as important to me as accurate, balanced sound without emphasis. All the comparison reviews that I checked had Sennheiser Momentum best in sound.

Bose QC 35ii and trust me they are awesome 🥰🥰🥰 . I have been using them for around 3 months :D
Battery life is 18-22 hours depending upon usage of NC feature. Sound quality is awesome with high bass (you can get better sound quality if you use custom EQ setting on VLC player on your laptop)

They are extremely comfortable though i feel little warm on my ears if i use them for more than 3 hours especially in hot weather environment which is totally normal i suppose. The cusions on ear pads are so so so soft and cozy. I wish it had usb C charging or wireless charging but anyways overall it is a worthy purchase.

Luckily i got them on boxing day sale for 220 USD and loving every day using them

I have the QC 35II (and QC 15) and they are great headphones but find myself using the Sony WF-1000XM3 most of the time. The sound and ANC of the Sony are excellent and I find them to be more comfortable than the over-the-ear headphones. I use them with my 2018 12.9 Pro for movies & video and with the XS Max for audio (Audible books and classical & rock music).

The M3s just came out last fall... and the predecessors to those , the 1000x were released in fall 2017, so we have a couple of years to go.
Really? But there is a filing with the FCC for the next gen.

Yeah, the WH, not the WF. We have the WF... the WH is their normal over the ear headset.
It’s the WH that I have. Check my post again. But in retrospect I should maybe have mentioned what earbuds I use as it an “earbuds” thread in which case I occasionally use my APP but 99% of the time I use my Sony 😂😂😂

Yeah, the thread is about earbuds so that threw me. It's all good, I have the WH-XB900N too (one step below the WH-1000XM3) and I love them to death. The app really makes a big difference with all the Sony headphones. The things I would change are making it easier to switch between multiple devices and more volume from the earbuds.

JLab JBuds Air Sport. Got them for my birthday last year and they work a treat. I use them for the gym and pretty mush all the time. Always reliable, connect really quickly, hardly ever need charging.
