Does radio count?

Listening to - and hugely enjoying - the (original) BBC recording (radio) of The Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy. As brilliantly hilarious - and funny, and witty - and clever - as ever.

If you enjoyed the radio broadcast, I highly recommend the 1981 TV series of "The Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy" (not the 2005 movie). Most of the characters were played by the same actors from the radio series.

I still miss "Don't Panic" on the forum.

Ah, yes. I remember that wonderful TV series.

(And no - I wouldn't dream of watching the 2005 remake - why try to reimagine or remake perfection?)

I watched that brilliant TV series with absorbed attention and rapt devotion, crying with laughter. And, somewhere at home - it was a gift - is the double LP (vinyl) which is a recording of the original series.

Re @Don't panic - I also miss him.

Skip to the end. It's 42!

I remember .......

But then, having come up with an answer, they needed to invent a suitable question...

Started Iron Fist (Netflix)- A man returns to NYC 15 years after being presumed dead (as a boy) in a plane crash over the Himalayas with his parents, trying to figure out what happened to his father’s company. And he knows Kung Fu!

Episode 1, so far, so good! :)

Earlier the excellent series on the BBC about cats in all their various guises. Well worth checking out in the iPlayer.

Now up Match of the Day. I might enjoy it a little more than usual this week! :)

New Black Mirror. Fabulous as always. A realistic and convincing look into the near future.

So I've succumbed to the PBS series Victoria now that there are two seasons to watch. For some reason I often skip reading movie reviews before I give a film a chance, but I do generally look at series reviews. For the Victoria series, those have been a mix of pats and pans, so... decided to decide for myself. Having fun anyway, always love the clothes and sets in these things.

I was so confused! Never seen black mirror, but after your explanation I might give it a miss.

No! No! It’s excellent. It can be harrowing in places but it’s very believable it what could happen, the way technology is going. As with every show there is good and bad but overall this series should. It be missed. Highly recommended.

Black Mirror is a sci-fi show about technology/futuristic/alternate reality, stand alone stories. The particlar episode I referenced was called National Anthem. It made me feel a little ill. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_National_Anthem_(Black_Mirror)

There was a good episode in the series about a world where you are judged and gain privileges based on your social media status, a theme which I believe was copied in a The Orville episode, the comedic Star Trek rip-off.

The Americans
Looking forward to the last season.

I can't agree more - well, I could, but it's the weekend :D

DO NOT MISS if you're a fan of speculative/science fiction.

It looks like Fox put out some new, awesome TV Shows with incredibly unique plots they or any other network have never utilized! I'm so excited for the new and upcoming spring TV season!

Said no one ever. AP Bio looks like a Community ripoff. So that might be good. So many boring medical dramas. As if Grey's Anatomy wasn't enough torture.
