Just finished the amped up mid-season finale of Billions. Like many other shows, looks like it will be a long break before the rest of the season is ready. Good thing there's plenty of other great stuff out there.

Those who have DirecTV might remember a series AT&T commissioned for the Audience Network, based on the Robert Redford movie, Three Days of the Condor -- Condor.

Jeremy Irons' kid Max was the lead, with William Hurt, Brendan Fraser, Mira Sorvino, and Bob Balaban also playing roles.

It was pretty good, and aired about two years ago. A second season was produced, but has been in limbo, at least partly due to the Warner Media acquisition, and the retirement of that channel from service.

Well, that second season has apparently popped up for viewing somewhere, although it's not entirely clear where, because the episodes are being listed and circulated.

If AT&T can't make up its mind on when and where people can watch, then it wouldn't be a surprise if people resort to other means. Mr. Mercedes was in the same boat, but at least they didn't keep it in the can.

When we heard about Mr. Mercedes (and the very positive reviews), we were super interested, but ran into "Now, where can you actually watch this? The audience network what?"

If AT&T is Warner Media, and Warner Media has HBO properties ... at least get this on HBOMAX!

Star Trek TOS. “Space Seed”

So good. This __should__ be on all TOS Top 10 Episode lists.

Designated survivor

both great and very different from each other!

Goliath Season 1 (2016)- 78% RTCC. Amazon Prime Original Series. There are 3 seasons. Just completed Season 1 and enjoyed it. I love courtroom dramas even though this one was a shaky case and a bit short on courtroom surprises. I could actually see the jury going either way. ;) Billy Bob Thornton is good although some would say he is just being standard BBT. On to Season 2! :)

Fear City: New York vs the Mafia - Netflix
Five Mafia families ruled New York with a bloody fist in the 1970s and '80s, until a group of federal agents tried the unthinkable: taking them down.
Watched the first episode yesterday and about to start episode #2 in a few minutes. It's very well done and fascinating.

Woodstock, The Days That Defined A Generation (2019, American Experience PBS)- Viewed on Netflix. Outstanding documentary about the 1969 music festival in Bethel, New York, not to be confused with the 1970, 3 hour movie documentary, Woodstock. That’s where a real bite of the music can be found. I was 16, but no where near the event, saw the 1970 movie in college, 4 years later. :)

The Gardener, a beautifully shot documentary on Prime about Les Quatre Vents, the 20-acre garden created in the Charlevoix region of Québec by Frank Cabot. It was a magnificent antidote to some news blues.
