One of my old school favorites

I and probably most young teen males of the time had a serious crush on Jeanie. I'll say no more. ;)

Why can't I delete my posts

I don't think that is enabled. For such events, I edit the post, erase the original, and type in something appropriate, "Dup post" or "moderator, please delete".

Well, two shows, both, to my mind, worth watching.

The extremely good Deutschland 83 recently started, - it is excellent and well worth watching - and Endeavour (the prequel to Inspector Morse) Series Three has just kicked off.

Is @Spencerdl unable to access the 'Edit' and 'Delete' buttons at the bottom left corner of his own posts?

I don't have a Delete button, at least I can't find it, just Edit. o_O

Hm. There appear to have been some interesting changes in the forum software since the summer.

Re Jeannie, as I wasn't ever a teenaged male, I'll be honest and say I just didn't get it.

A pretty face, scantily dressed (for the 60s), and hormones... ;)

Ah, @Huntn, the thing is, I do actually remember this series. It is just that I never liked it - indeed, I couldn't even see the point of out and could never understand why it was so popular. Mind you, I was a very small kid at the time, and a very nerdish female, not a teenaged male.

LOL. Exactly

Well, between the two of you, you have solved one question that had been in my mind since childhood, why is to answer the inexplicable question of why such a vapid programme enjoyed such popularity?

The Expanse (Syfy Channel debuts Dec 14)- Looks interesting , I'll record it, but based on my history with SyFy Channel shows, I'll keep my expectations low.

I've been enjoying the show so far (with the first 4 episodes that have aired so far). Looking forward to the next new episode premiering tonight.

For 1960s television the concept was intriguing, (along the same lines as Bewitched), the stories were hard to judge from a kid's perspective, but I remember liking them, the there was the sexual aspect floating around in the background, of having your own sex kitten devoted to granting your every wish. ;)

Since that post, I have decided SyFy is capable of producing at least one decent show, Expanse. :)

Just finished Making A Murder, and HOLY CRAP!

Incredible, wasn't it? I posted a thread about it but got no responses so I assumed others hadn't watched it yet. So many talking points on it.

This is in the que to watch. It has definitely taking the inter webs by storm. It is being talked about every where! What is even more amazing, is the fact someone from the Federal Government's Department of Justice hasn't stepped in. Especially with this much talk and the strong reactions this show is garnishing!

Finishing up the last season of The Strain.

It is, I used to watch the original when I was a kid, I even staged races like the show with my Hotwheels :D

(in retrospect, wow, that was a +violent+ cartoon for a 5 year old kid ...)

Yeah me too. I loved Speed Racer as a child. They should bring an updated version back to TV.

First we lost Cote, now Weatherly is leaving after this season. Believe the inevitable is starting to begin for this show.... :(

Yeah they've been on for a while. And Gibbs is finally getting old. This show has probably seen its better days.

The stories are still good. The show hasn't gone downhill writing wise. Just when the original/core cast begin to leave, it is definitely a sign of the spiral is going to happen soon.....
