That sounds like OLE from MS Office. I don't believe any Apple "office" software has ever done that.

I don't think there ever was one. But I'm humble - I would be glad if I could link to any spreadsheet (or document, for that matter) from inside Numbers (e.g. a hyperlink to a PDF).

If I change my home background to my house on my phone, my Mac can only show blobby soft colors, even if it isn't user taken images, something more than green fog for this room, blue fog for that room, orange fog for outside.
You can change the backgrounds in the macOS Home.app via Drag & Drop.

I run switched on, but it's kinda annoying with F1 2013 or even Civ 6. My xPlane also acted weirdly (got it sorted out, though, thanks to unorthodox and extremely flexible multiple display handling built into the simulator).
Does Civ 6 work with full functionality now on Big Sur?
 
I want an easy way to "open the terminal at folder". The " System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Services" enable blah and blah then right click on folder and services > new terminal at folder is not practical enough. I need something like the ubuntu's open terminal here. This is the main reason I use my Mac as a VM machine to run my production linux
