Been enjoying a nice retreat in the Sierras. I go back to "real life" tomorrow, but I sure have appreciated the mountain air and the quiet. Spent yesterday hiking in the wilderness. Took this photo at the start of the hike, a view of the southern part of the Lake Tahoe basin from Echo Lakes:

Although chilled water seems to be my drink of choice right now. Too hot for tea even.
Tomorrow is due to be hotter. I’ll be making a raspberry jelly in the morning.

For some reason it seems cooler in the evenings than it was back in June? Down to 17-19ºC overnight.
