Instant? "Instant Coffee"??!!!! AIEEEE!!!! Like my late father, I am a coffee lover. When he died, eventually my mother sold their house and apparently along with it she decided she didn't need or want a coffeemaker any more. So a month or so after she was settled into her new apartment, I visited.....and the first morning I was startled when there was no coffeemaker at hand, no ground coffee, even..... She handed me a jar of some sort of powdered or ground-up swill and said, ""I've already put the hot water on to boil for your coffee,". Eh.... what??!!! I realized that this was now her morning beverage. AIIIIIEEEEE!!!!
The next time I went to visit her I took along my coffeemaker and package of ground coffee so that at least I'd have something decent to drink first thing in the morning! What I found really appalling was that my mother truly did not realize the important difference between it and the crap in the jar of "Instant" she had on hand and drank every morning.... I loved my mother dearly (RIP) but boy, she sure took a wrong turn from values that my father and I both held when it comes to a morning beverage!
