Any place but here or there....
One of my top 3 Italian horrors was just announced for blu ray release next month and the film distribution company releasing it creates all kinds of insane merchandise to bundle with their releases: enamel pins, plush dolls, shirts.

Glad it will be next month so that I can sneak in that haul before paying school tuition.

So, yay!

I missed the the winning ticket for the $1.6B Mega Millions Lottery. I had such plans! :D
Someone’s life in S. Carolina got seriously changed.

Wait, did some one person win the entire sum? Sorry, I'm not really up to speed other than that the sum was hilariously, and at the same time terrifyingly large.

Regarding the positives / negatives of coming into posession of such funds, I seriously think I would lose my mind. Literally. It would not be healthy in the least.

One ticket I think, but I don’t know how many people that could represent. It’s interesting that millions of tickets were sold without duplicate numbers.

Good that you at least know that, then you can think that through and do something about it ;)

To me it’s just money.
Yes, money can be dangerous for people who don’t have values to live by.
Because you can’t buy an ethical foundation that provide inner security and guidelines that makes life marvelous.
The only thing money, more money, changes for me is just more money, that you can buy certain stuff or services with.
You can’t buy personal growth. Sure you can buy services for it. We all must still do our inner work, regardless of riches.
You can still not buy what really makes life totally amazing. You can’t buy love, awareness, ethic, integrity, compassion, relationships etc.

I wish the nut collecting season was over if it didn’t mean there’d be snow on the ground. Lulu my forever vigilant companion is stationed on a rocker stretched out and contorted in impossible angles looking out the window.

Not only does she inform me about the squirrels dashing their “her” yard, she alerts me to the neighbors arriving home and they’re opening their garage, and omg they are NOW walking into their house! Oh, the humanity.

For a minute there, I thought you were goin' all political on us.

Then I realized it was a dogged post.

At least she's not using up your wifi bandwidth.

I could never get them to stay in very well (funny enough, they work backwards better ...), until I scored some of these:

I’d wear earbuds; properly is optional. :(

Can't speak for you, DT, but I recall Gutty saying he had cauliflower ear due to him wrestling in his younger and more agile years. But I believe DT said he boxed as a teenager. I was lucky and never suffered that, but most earbuds don't fit me. I often need to order aftermarket silicone covers to get them snug. Prefer cans instead of buds anyways.

In a coffee shop.
Dinner: We have just prepared a version of that apple, pear and plum (all organic) dish that I had put together a fortnight ago.

So, sliced cooking apples, pears and plums in a buttered dish; a very generous hand with butter and organic brown sugar; cardamon pods; a cinnamon stick; a vanilla pod; cloves; grated orange peel. A tiny amount (five or six dessert spoons) of water. A hot, preheated oven. Roasting seasonal fruit in autumn. Already, the aroma is divine.

And thinking about a crate of beer (including twelve bottles of Founder's Curmudgeon's Better Half - out of a total of the 24 the shop received, and four of Founder's Breakfast Stout) to be delivered tomorrow.

I am also to receive the flu jab tomorrow; last week, the carer and my mother received it, but - as I was still on antibiotics - I was advised to wait until I had completed the course.

The dish of roasted (seasonal) apple, pear and plum was - needless to say - delicious. The aroma divine. The consumption - perhaps - excessive.
You can never eat too much apple, pears and plums.

Hitting the grocery store tonight before everyone makes a mad dash there tomorrow before the Nor’easter clobbers us on Saturday.

May I remember everything this time!
