Hmmm, 10 million vehicles, of which a significant portion are fully autonomous drive capable.
Ok… not Elon but some nefarious people / group somehow get ahold of Tesla computers and does who knows what with vehicles … boggles the imagination

Did this recording session (of a rehearsal) this afternoon with a mid-school music ensemble. They needed a keyboardist and a drummer, so they brought me and a drummer in, but they also needed a recording. They want to use the recording/video as promotional material, so I also recorded the whole thing (and they had a videographer come and film). So I was doing three things at once - recording, playing, and doing the clapper board for the cameraman, it was fun! Was interesting trying to do this in a classroom though, this is how I had to set it up—I didn't have the mics set up when I took this picture, but I had them sort of where I was standing. The bass player was off to the left out of the picture, and I had two horn players sit far to the left, and two far to the right to get a good stereo image. Anyway, it was a lot of fun, I'd never done anything like that before!

My cat can read one word - "Gourmet".
If the container of cat food doesn't have that word on it, she won't eat it.
I rather suspect that if I tattooed the word "Gourmet" on any of the local dogs, she would eat them, too.
Please write ‘Gourmet' on your forehead with a non-poisonous pen, we don’t want to jeopardize the cat’s dinner, and report back. Or maybe assign someone close to you, to do so to us, if her lunch was to any gourmet satisfaction or not.

No, mine is a lazy cat. Any birds to be eaten need to be plucked, cleand and casseroled in a mild sauce ...
She won't even eat raw scraps from preparing chicken (thighs, wings, etc).
Kittens have to be taught by their mothers how to eat prey - it is not instinct. This is why they return with 'gifts' - as kitten they would take prey back to their mothers to be shown how to eat it. Cats are so domesticated that many don't really know how to consume prey.

I wouldn’t be so sure of that - cats are very instinctual.

One cat I had was very inventive on his own.
We took him from his Mother and siblings very early, and he used particularly me as his substitute Mother and used my fingers and eartips as he would nursing on me.

At very small he was a mostly an indoor cat, but he hiked along with us when we were out.
After that it didn’t take long before he went out on his own and explored, and brought home some small preys as to show us how good he was. We didn’t taught him that, but he got a lot of love and confirmation when he did so.

Just a few hours left of British summer and we are still waiting for the summer to begin in regards to weather. Poor kids have been off school for 6 weeks and barely a day has gone past without rain and sub 20 degree temperatures. This has to be the worst summer we’ve had since 2007? Weather forecast for next week is sun now the kids are going back to school!! lol.

We took our kids to Spain and Sardinia for a couple of weeks so have at least seen some nice weather. I’d imagine most parents are like me when I think it’s about time school began again!

In a coffee shop.
So much nicer than the manufactured, heavily processed sausages full of nitrates and salt.
Very much nicer, agreed.

Okay, they don't have a long shelf life (almost two weeks, unless some find their way to the freezer), as they are totally natural and lack preservatives, but they are absolutely delicious, and I like the idea of supporting small, local, good quality businesses.

Anyway, the order includes two packets of their delicious Italian sausages (with toasted fennel and chilli flakes), and one each of their wonderful pork and leek sausages, and their standard breakfast sausages, plus their own dry cured bacon rashers to accompany that.

They also do German bratwurst style sausages, and French style sausages (for cassoulet or lentil dishes), plus black pudding, and they pride themselves on the fact that the latter is made from fresh blood, which is unusual and rare these days; I shall place an order for some of these products as autumn approaches.

In winter, they will add Merguez sausages, and sometimes, venison sausages, when the latter is in season, to their selection.

Love it. No heat stroke. And as a kid I used to love the rain. I think puddle-jumping should be an Olympic sport.

For the kids, this must have been exceptionally frustrating.

And yes, I well recall that back-to-school weather, when the sun emerged in all of its golden glory, just as the kids had returned to school. Deeply depressing.

In college, we used to call that - and it used to happen with infuriating regularity - "exam weather".
We took our kids to Spain and Sardinia for a couple of weeks so have at least seen some nice weather.
There is a very good reason why sun starved people from northern Europe holiday in warmer (and sunnier) climes.
I’d imagine most parents are like me when I think it’s about time school began again!
Agreed.
