Pretty much the same here, though a bit warmer (30 right now). Our student cohort are dressed for summer and spend their break playing sports by the lake. I am thinking of doing the same for the weekend.Just lovely for me.
Dry and warm and sunny.
Actually, this is close to perfect - the range of 20-30 is, for me, the proverbial "Goldilocks" zone; I can handle up to the mid thirties, but anything higher is uncomfortable, while once we breach 40, it becomes deeply unpleasant.
Short sleeves in September; gorgeous.
Winter (and bleak short days, dark dismal skies, cold, wet and miserable weather) will be all too soon upon us, alas.
What about the close relationship between (some) humans and sharks?I’m thinking about how peculiar it is that humans and salmon are more closely related than salmon and shark.
Wonderful.Pretty much the same here, though a bit warmer (30 right now). Our student cohort are dressed for summer and spend their break playing sports by the lake.
Sounds an excellent idea.I am thinking of doing the same for the weekend.
Well, iceberg lettuce is good in warm weather if it's fresh.Just awoke from a nap. Feel worse than I did before I lay down. My body doesn’t like this heat. It’s not what I was built for.
Hopefully dinner will wake me up. I think Mrs AFB is doing chicken pasta salad.
For salad read iceberg lettuce. She can’t eat much else that goes into a salad.
Indeed. But I prefer my salads to have a few more ingredients. Rocket, onion, pepper etc. to be fair it usually comes with cucumber. She can deal with the side effects of eating a small amount of that.Well, iceberg lettuce is good in warm weather if it's fresh.

To my mind, (and in my experience), there are some individual humans who could lay claim to a common - and perhaps, unusually close - DNA ancestry with sharks.
It's all about the bones. Sharks don't have them. "Fish" do.I’m thinking about how peculiar it is that humans and salmon are more closely related than salmon and shark.
May I ask what “Rocket” is?Indeed. But I prefer my salads to have a few more ingredients. Rocket, onion, pepper etc. to be fair it usually comes with cucumber. She can deal with the side effects of eating a small amount of that.
A type of lettuce I think. Just a green you add to salads.May I ask what “Rocket” is?
Tomato?Indeed. But I prefer my salads to have a few more ingredients. Rocket, onion, pepper etc. to be fair it usually comes with cucumber. She can deal with the side effects of eating a small amount of that.
Rocket is short for "rocket (salad) leaves".May I ask what “Rocket” is?
Likewise, some colleagues.yes, and I'm pretty sure that a few clients I've had in the past were more closely related to sharks than was desirable
Neither of us can eat tomatoes. They cause my mouth ulcers to flare up. So mostly I avoid them.Tomato?
Yesterday, I prepared a fruit salad with tinned apricots (fresh are now well out of season), but with fresh peaches, nectarines, mango, and passion fruit.
The colours were warm and wonderful, and the taste sublime.
That is a pity, for tomatoes can really add a lot to a dish, in flavour and appearance.Neither of us can eat tomatoes. They cause my mouth ulcers to flare up. So mostly I avoid them.
Indeed. Something I enjoy but can’t eat. Gives me a hint of what it must be like for Mrs AFB.That is a pity, for tomatoes can really add a lot to a dish, in flavour and appearance.
They are also relatively inexpensive, and, currently, are in season.
May I ask what “Rocket” is?
It is astonishing how we think we're special as humans and yet in reality we are remarkably unexceptional and we're made up of the most common elements in the universe. What about the close relationship between (some) humans and sharks?

Hmmm.It is astonishing how we think we're special as humans and yet in reality we are remarkably unexceptional and we're made up of the most common elements in the universe.
To think that sharks are our distant cousins is an interesting thought. I want to read up more about that.
How do you mean? It appears to be a scientific fact unless google is deceiving me. I did get a sense however that you were pointing at some unruly individuals that you've stumbled upon.Hmmm.
It seems appropriate to point out that I actually meant this metaphorically rather than literally.
