Especially when you typo.

I think I'm losing my language skills and proofreading abilities.

And I thought it was just me! I used to have decent spelling skills...I could see the word in my mind...but in the past year or so it’s been replaced with a Indian test pattern. And when I proof I end up just reading what I intended to say, not what I actually wrote.

I jokingly blame my former wife who was ESL but I’m not so sure it isn’t just the accumulated effect of being lumped on my head.

I had suffered with migraines from about 6 years old right through to my 40s or so. I never seem to get them anymore. I always got a real kick out of seeing people at work sitting at their desks saying “they were having a migraine”. Well I call BS! As any migraine sufferer will tell you, if you are still sitting at your desk then you have a common headache, not a migraine! Anyone I know that actually gets migraines runs to somewhere dark, lies down and tries to go to sleep before the ‘shimmering blindspots’ stop to avoid puking your guts out inside of the next hour, for the remainder of the day. Mine were like someone was sticking an icepick into your eye. After you recovered you felt ‘something’ at the location for days afterwards.
I worked with a guy who got them so bad they kept morphine at home and his wife (a nurse) would administer a shot when he got one. They’d hang in for days otherwise. (God help him if he got one at work....just couldn’t make it home. The symptoms of one coming on are fast) I never had one that ever lasted beyond a day. My entire family gets them. My kid really gets them. Her mom gets killer ones and I guess she inherited the affliction from us. She also gets my kidney stones. Just Lovely.

Yes!!! If you've ever had a real migraine, you understand. Even cluster headaches are bad. But a plain old splitting headache caused by sinus or stress just is not a migraine. Migraine /= really bad headache.

My son started getting them when he was 2. Too young to be able to explain what was happening. He could just scream. Fortunately he's mostly grown out of them. I don't recall him mentioning having one since his late teens or early twenties. I get one once in a blue moon, and it's always preceded by tunnel vision. It's been years since I've had a bad one, knock wood. Totally ruined a trip to Vegas!

Mine used to be preceded by a pronounced (but sudden) lack of appetite, and my taste buds, how can I express this, responded differently - as in, food suddenly tasted different, somehow both very metallic and unpleasant.

I blame my pain and lack of nutrients.

That's logical.

No, I'm going to blame the monster in my closet. He's always yelling at me in hype lingo. I'm turning into an amoeba.

I forgot to mention since it’s been so long since I’ve had one, (although I have on occasion seen the warning signs but I be able to beat them now by simply sitting down, closing my eyes and entering into a relaxed state) but the trick in our family at the very onset of any signs was to plow down a dose of ENO. ENO is one of those fizzy stomach antacids. We only used ENO. That isn’t to say some of the others wouldn’t work, but when you find one that works you stay faithful to it. You had to get it down immediately and go to bed with the blankets pulled over your head to get it pitch dark. For me I would attempt to sleep. I beat alot of them over the years, but every now and then I was somewhere I couldn’t take appropriate actions. No fun. Scary. S

Not to pry, but if you feel like answering, is the nature of your job anxiety inducing or are you an anxious person by nature?

The stress/anxiety isn't related to my current job (i started almost 2 months ago) :) i've had to deal with two things recently, taking former employer to court (discrimination, i disclosed two disabilities and was dismissed the next day... This happened in April) my prehearing is in a few weeks and i'm representing myself. And i've had a really, REALLY bad landlord situation (harassment and illegal eviction amongst other things, i've reported it to the police and council so it's being investigated... Very, very slowly) and it's been a nightmare trying to find new accommodation. Been staying with friends and hotels for the past 6 weeks. I'm relieved to say i've found a new flat and moved in yesterday.

Buy i do have GAD as well as low mood, dyslexia and ADHD

I’m sorry you are going through this and hope you prevail. This is a huge issue in at will States, hiring and firing practices that allow for discrimination based on a variety of criteria. Were you paying your rent? Not an accusation...

One way or another it will work out. I'm with a better employer now, the down side is I've taken a £3k pay cut and it's a step back in my career. My area is HR so I'm lucky to have working knowledge of employment law and can speak to my former colleagues for guidance. Saves me a buck or two in solicitor fees!

I sublet the room for 17 months, always paid my rent on time in full (all inclusive plus bills) . The landlord is retaliating because he was investigated by the local council, funnily enough, he owes me money due to a rent suspension order and was told to return the overpayment. Haven't seen a penny...

My oncologist recently recommended a chiropractor to treat my neuropathy. So off I went. I've gone twice a week for three weeks now, and he's actually making progress! For the first time in six years I can bend my toes, and the feeling of swelling has gone down. I may yet run again!

He's done a combination of stim, laser, acupuncture, massage, and sonic pulse (which hurts like crazy!).

Still dealing with the after effects of my hospitalization from July-August. The quartet of antibiotics I was on for almost a month made my digestive system worse than it was; dealing with nausea, headaches (which I rarely get), and an increase in nasal sinus issues. Taking increased amounts of probiotics here at home helps, but my appetite is a ghost of what it was before nearly dying from the food borne bacteria, and the subsequent round of sepsis (blood poisioning) it induced.

I cannot risk eating raw vegetables or green juice at work (probably will never know what gave me the listeria), so now I have to eat less than healthy food while at work. Time to pack food from home.

What were you evicted for, was a reason stated?

I have horrible heartburn. I have had heartburn all my life but it went over the edge on the forth of july. I had almost cut out carbs only eating them once a week as they cause a lot of issues and heartburn for a day or two after eating them. well here it is the 3rd. it took two weeks to see a doc just to schedule a look down my gullet. took took another week or so to hear what the problem was. I know I had a hiatal hernia found it at age 11. but I guess I don't have a lot of scarring and it does not look too bad. so then why is it so bad? I finally convinced my doc i wll need surgery as none of the heartburn meds work and some actually make it worse. but it will be a month to even talk to the surgeon and I don't know if I can take it that long.
my diet has devolved into protein only as that gave me the least amount of heartburn. no spices or seasonings and even most nuts but almonds pistachios and sunflower seeds bother me. I can only drink water and almond milk it helps sooth. but slowly it has gotten worse. veggies went out when they started causing my hurt left arm to hurt hot flashes and making me tired an a bit loopy. (this got them motivated as they thought i was having a heart attach)

hopefully. the whole thing has pissed me off. I fell and hurt my left arm got essays and that was about it. I hurt it a bit a couple more times and got a steroid shot in my shoulder as that hurt and they found some arthritis in there. well I fell again and this really hurt my arm and shoulder bad. I went in the day it happened and all I got besides a X-ray and told to take Tylenol and use bio freeze. I told the doc that Tylenol gives me heartbeat all I got was take protonix.

I told my gp that I needed something to put on my arm to help the pain so I could get off the Tylenol and got nothing. they also had me on a anti inflammatory that I was told that would be easy on my stomach. only to find its actually far worse then the Tylenol.

So I had emailed my doc about how bad my arm and heartburn is she emailed on the first the day it went out of control. I freaked her out when I laid out how bad it is and I got a call from the nurse then a doc on call thinking I was having a heart attack because it made my left arm ache.

They wanted e go to the er but I knew it was just heartburn and went to urgent care In the afternoon and they give me a EKG and my heart was fine. I did get the referral to the gut doc. And then I got a mir for my shoulder found two torn tendons.

But this all ate up my 2500 decidable and I never got a bit of relief. And here we are I still have bad heartburn waiting for help.

I’m still plagued by a sore left elbow. Passed on swimming today, it has not reached what would call chronic pain,, but it is noticible and controllable with Ibuprofen. Ironically I wake up with the most serious pain in my elbow, but then it recedes as I use my arm. So something I’m doing while sleeping seems to aggravate the issue. I sleep on mostly on my right side, so my left arm sometimes ends up, propping me up.

A while back I did a series of exercises designed to reduce inflammation of the forearm tendons , but then I let off. I’ve restarted those and took a week off from swimming. I also think my activity on the computer, along with my bathroom remodel project, which is getting close to complete, has added to this issue.
