I loved my old 4s, but it was rather small. With full screen display would be perfect.

The 11 Pro looks great, but I find the rounded edges slippery to hold

Black slate iPhone 5 😍

I’ve had many iPhones back to the 3G. I like the 11 Pro the best. I put it in a clear case from Apple. It just feels good to hold. Looks great. Screen is great. Battery is great. Speakers are great. I had been tempted by the max but glad I got the Pro.

I always thought the iPhone 5 style of design with the flat, boxie sides and the mostly brushed metal back was one of the most beautiful and best feeling designs. I believe my second best was the iPhone 7 matte black design. That was the first of the iPhone 6-era phones to correctly present the antenna. While I know a glass back is needed for wireless charging, I vastly prefer the metal back phones.

iPhone 3G.

The curvy design is more ergonomic, no sharp edges. It also blends better in a jean’s pocket for example.

Look at that superior gradual curve.

iPhone 4 looks classy but not ergonomically superior to 3G.

My wife's first smart phone was a 3GS, also her last iPhone as she went android soon after. I was so jealous, I wanted that phone so bad, I was still using a myTouch 3g at the time.

Another vote for the black 5. Now if they could just make that with a modern CPU, edge-to-edge screen, under screen Touch ID & camera and water resistant...

Probably the 5. Loved the design. :) I want the flat edges back for the 12!

I just wonder if boxy edges will work for such a large device.

I know, we have an iPad Pro but someone holds that with their whole hand.

will square phablets... work? aesthetic aside

iPhone 4 > iPhone 3G > iPhone 5

Best Design are Design that stands the test of time. And all three still looks great today.

Having said that I doubt the iPhone 3G design would have worked in today's huge phone era, but if we could make under display Touch ID and Edge to Edge design, the iPhone 3G size could have fitted a 4.7" 19.5:9 Edge to Edge OLED Screen.

That, would be beautiful.

iPhone 5 was way too simple, iPhone 4 felt very luxurious. It really was a piece of art.

Hands down iPhone 5, especially in black. It looked so sleek and classy, and was the perfect size. I remember going to dinner with a friend and seeing her pull it out for the first time. That's what made me hop over from Android.

I may have a little nostalgia as the iPhone 4 was my first one but I think that design was the best. My current XS Max I would say is 2nd. I've also owned the 5 and 6.

Owned all of them. The 3G S was so comfortable in my hand it's ridiculous. Using my 11 in the case still hurts my hand a lot. I really like the X/XS/11 Pro design.
