iPhone 8 July 2019-Dec 2019 (Was handed down after breaking my Samsung. Had it for 5 mos, before upgrading to the Pixel 3a.)
Still using the Pixel 3a, though the experience of using the iPhone 8 males me want to go back to Apple. I have been saving up money to get the iPhone 12/12mini/13 mini later this year as Apple tends to drop the price of last years models. If the price drop isn't substantial or the 13 series upgrades are meh, I will wait until 2022, to get the rumored iPhone SE 3.

I only upgraded every year from 2011-2017 due to being on a family plan with a family member who never upgraded. So I used my upgrade every 2 years and their upgrade on the in between years Were those needed? No, but I was honestly making money by selling my current device and then upgrading at a subsidized carrier price of the new phone. Carriers have obviously done away with these subsidized prices but thankfully now the new phones are so good they don't warrant upgrading every 2 or even 3 years.
