So many issues
Even though I've got another year on my T-Mobile contract, I was considering seeing if I could find someone to take it over. That's how much I wanted an iPhone, initially. But for the following reasons, I'm glad I waited.
1) There are way too many bugs. Shockingly so.
2) No voice recognition.
3) Not compatible with my blue-tooth device that clips on my car's visor. I can drive hands free without a head set, which is great for me.
4) When I first heard about the iPhone, I was thrilled, because I thought I could finally get rid of my Palm. It isn't truly compatible with Mac, and is poorly made. But, as it turns out, the iPhone doesn't actually replace a PDA and is buggier and even more unreliable than my Palm.
5) No sudoku, no scrabble, no solitare. No fun.
6) While I can't surf the web on my current phone, if I'm going to shell out that kind of money, I want to able to access web sites that use flash.
7) No search feature. Though my current phone doesn't have that either, it does have voice recognition.
8) I kind of like the ease of having a phone that was free. I don't have to baby it, or worry about it getting lost, stolen or broken. It's one of the things I like about my iPod Shuffle, as opposed to my larger iPod.
9) I love the way the iPhone looks and its incredible interface, but I don't really need one. It's a lovely toy but not a necessity. I'll wait until the 2nd or 3rd generation to see what Apple comes up with, in terms of fixing bugs and making improvements.
