what will be the price of iPad mini that is full screen, less bezels like the iPad Pro and with faceID?
There is really no reason to make the screen larger IMO, another 1/2 to 1 inch up and you already have ipads with those screen sizes. I'd actually like to keep the 7.9" screen and make the mini physically smaller. The mini works awesome if you don't want to tie your hands up since it fits into a back pocket or a jacket pocket. We also have to keep in mind that the mini is HUGE compared to even Apple's largest smartphone because of the aspect ratio. I have a Pro 11 max and the screen looks tiny next to my mini even with a 6.5" screen, the mini 5's screen will even continue to look huge next to the rumored 12 pro max at 6.7".
But my thing is, do they really need to merge? If one wants to have a bigger screen, they can already buy one of several bigger iPads now. If one wants the smallest possible iPad, then the current iPad mini is it. Sure, if they can fit a bigger screen in the mini without any growth in any of its dimensions, then why not I guess (though I would much prefer making the entire device smaller rather than making the screen bigger). But making the device width bigger even a little, just for a bigger screen—which would likely be the case if this particular rumor is true—, I feel is going away from the mini’s unique role in the iPad lineup. For a long time, before the Mini 5 came out, I thought that the 9.7" and the Mini product lines would eventually be merged into a single form factor similar to what is now described as a Mini 6.

Only it doesn’t fit in my back pocket, unfortunately (I guess I’m a smaller person). I really really wish it could, which is why I’d prefer a reduction in the mini’s size. The mini works awesome if you don't want to tie your hands up since it fits into a back pocket or a jacket pocket.
Yes and as tiny as even the largest iPhone is next to the mini, I’m sadly willing to try it as a mini replacement if the mini gets any bigger in dimensions. That just says how much I’d dislike a bigger mini.We also have to keep in mind that the mini is HUGE compared to even Apple's largest smartphone because of the aspect ratio. Ha! Absolutely right makes it 8.93” not 8.99” 🤓the mini has a pixel density of 326 ppi, not 324 ppi.
Or it could be a 326 ppi version of the iPad Air which would come out to about a 8.5” diagonal. Or a 326 ppi version of this rumored 10.8” iPad whatever aspect ratio that will have. Anyone have any idea what would be the reasoning for this new 10.8” size btw?Well I saw some people guessing that the new mini will have the same display resolution with a taller aspect ratio as the 11-inch iPad Pro but with mini's 326 pixels per inch, which translates into a screen size of 8.9 inches.
I am also wondering why they would change the size of the regular iPad so soon.Or it could be a 326 ppi version of the iPad Air which would come out to about a 8.5” diagonal. Or a 326 ppi version of this rumored 10.8” iPad whatever aspect ratio that will have. Anyone have any idea what would be the reasoning for this new 10.8” size btw?

Edit- this large iPhone would not be used as my phone btw. It would be strictly used as an iPad mini. I prefer my se for phone.
who cares? A lot will if it bumps up the price by lot...Who cares? People are buying the mini because of its size, not because of its price.
For a long time, before the Mini 5 came out, I thought that the 9.7" and the Mini product lines would eventually be merged into a single form factor similar to what is now described as a Mini 6. I bought a Mini 5 right after it was released, and I have to say that it is a beast. I had always liked the Mini's for media consumption, but the additional speed, pencil support and ample storage (I have the 256 MG) have made the Mini 5 very useful tool in my work as an Engineer. Despite loving the Mini 5, I will jump on the Mini 6 after it comes out if it is as good as I anticipate. The larger screen size, while keeping virtually the same device size would be the best of both worlds.
.... and if face masks would be the "new normal", then Apple should really offer Touch ID alternatives to new devices.I love Touch ID on my mini. No regrets with this old style
