Ya, I fear Apple will get lazy and sit on these chips for longer periods of time. They had no issue doing that in the past with longer intel intervals.
Yes, but the Intel updates were often minor and didn't justify the work to launch a new model. Apple has a lot more visibility and control over their roadmaps now so we will probably see a more regular update cycle, once they get everything migrated over. Whether that means 1, 1.5 or 2 years remains to be seen.
