In that case I am staying on 9.3.3

One of my apps requires a really expensive update on 10.x

Only reason for update would be an untethered JB as this semi sh... really is a pita.

Had some random crashes with restarts loosing the JB and now don't have my macbook handy.

And that should point out that its absolutely not even worth it why I won't explain because it's obvious but everyone in the jb community is very emojiloveslowsnapchatequalilslifeidiots

You mean that it would be that difficult for you to run an app or visit a web site after a reboot? You folks have gotten spoiled. I think you didn't bother to explain because you don't have a good explanation. ;)

I mean you underestimate the dangers of the 9.3.3 semi-tether concerning the certificate issue. Also it is cumbersome to have it crash in the middle of something and not having an internet connection or my macbook handy for several hours or days (holliday now or when in airplane for hours).

So no I am not lazy, just not worth updating from a semi to a semi.

Assuming is the mother of all F... ups :)

A vast majority of jailbreakers are kids. Adults are usually too busy to jailbreak or use their phone for business purposes, so they either can't be jailbroken by company policy and require a stable, safe and working phone in any circumstance.

Where do you get that information from? For me I'm 47 in March and I will be jailbreaking my iP7 as soon as I can just like I did with my iP6 and 6s

If I ever need an un-jailbroken phone for my business I will just buy another one to use it for that.

No no no.. I know many grown ups that jailbreaks and thinks that a jailbroken iPhone is necessary to add functions that a stock iPhone cannot do, its a little bit dumb unjailbroken so to speak.

Your assumptions are off.
Overgeneralizing much?

So I upgraded my 6S and 6S+ to 10.1.1 a few days ago and kept my 5S and 6+ on 9.0.2. Tonight I was messing with the emoji thing they were telling about on reddit to get 10.0 smilies on 9.02. It did;t work so well and I had all these blank spaces with lines where there should be smilies. Reverting back to stock smilies didn't work either and the blank spaces were still there.

I used Cydia Eraser to go back to the beginning and all went well. Jailbroke the 5S again and restored my backup and I didn't lose a thing.

Reading the /r/jailbreak subreddit. Most of the times it's Snapchat this, emoji that. Also there was a poll a few months ago about the average age of the subreddit members.

There are exceptions to everything, which is why I said "a vast majority" and not "all jailbreakers".

Well I don't use Reddit except for the odd link I find here to something so I can't comment on the people there. However I think you are way off the mark by saying most people that jailbreak are kids.

WTF, looks like i missed out being able to JB a new phone this week, no iPhone for me then. Was gonna purchase an iPhone 7 Plus outright with part of my Christmas bonus. But with this news of no downgrading a new iPhone now, looks like I missed the boat.

This whole Jailbreak stuff with iPhone's is alien to me, so strange the way it goes.

I'm a Nexus guy, always root and ROM Android phones. They never have weird stuff like this, neededing to downgrade and only having a short 2 week period to do so, otherwise you miss out, WTF that's strange. And then never knowing if or when a JB may possibly maybe might come out some time.

Guess I'm sticking with my Nexus 6P, and will have to pick up a Pixel XL now. But I was super pumped for a JB 7 Plus, oh well
