the GM will probably come this Friday, because in 2011 Lion came out on Friday July 1st, 19 days before it was available in the Mac App Store on July 20th(Wednesday).

If ML GM is released on Friday, July the 6th, then July the 25th (the day after the Q3 Apple earnings call, which is also a Wednesday) will be 19 days after the GM release.

July 25th Being the presumptive release date of ML.
Snow Leopard GM came on Tuesday 11th of August and released on Friday August 28. Thats 17days after the GM release. So its says nothing eventually ;)

the reason I make this prediction is because, It seems like Apple might be starting a summer/July trend for its Mac OS X releases. Because this is the 2nd time in a row they plan to release an OS in July. So 19 days (give or take 2-5 days) after GM could also be part of that trend.

In any case, the actual ML MAS release date won't be later then the same week of the earnings conference call, because looking at the Mac OS X release history (Cheetah to Lion) they've always released them from the 20th-29th.

Unless they decide to surprise us by releasing it before or after that time frame.

Last year, when Apple released the pre-GM version of Lion, did they say it was an almost-completed version like they did with Mountain Lion at WWDC?

It sounds to me like the GM will be out soon (Possibly this week?) and final release maybe a week later as from what I have read the current version is very stable and as I said Apple have already said the current version is an almost complete version.

True, so it's likely to be out in the next couple of weeks

Golden Master (GM) is usually coming 2/3weeks before final release in the MacAppstore. So its coming probably this week or next week. And the final release by the end of the month.

The answer to the OP is nobody knows but people are going to repeatedly make the same vague guesses until it is released and someone who by chance got it right makes the inevitable "i called it" post like they had any kind of knowledge about it in the first place.:D

Doesn't Apple usually release around 5PM? Maybe another hour or two otherwise next week.

Still trying to look at different Apple News sites. Like 9to5mac, osxdaily, macrumors, and cultofmac.com to see if an article pops up about OS X ML GM...but so far nothing

Would make sense for it to be today. That would allow for two weeks of testing before the last week of July and release date.

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple bypassed a GM. Would have to think by next Wednesday at the latest if not tonight.

It would depend on if Apple sees this weekend as the July 4th observance. Many places, including my base here, view today thru Monday as the "holiday weekend" to make up for the 4th landing on a Wednesday. But that isn't across the board for everyone, so it all depends.
