Could also be Beta 5. they are working on, i think 1 month is too early for final release. look at 9.1 :) didnt have much performance improvement :(

9.1 wasn't about performance improvements. 9.1 was purely for the Unicode update and support for the new AppleTV and iPad Pro. That's why it was quick into beta and out.

Again, a Three UK moderator said in a comment on their blog "We’re confident that the software update [to enable iPhone VoLTE on their network] will be available by mid-December 2015"

Really, don't hold your breath for a release tomorrow. Next week or the week after seems far more likely.
VoLTE is already in iOS... The software release would be a Three-UK proprietary carrier settings update that Apple has nothing to do with.

Carrier updates can -- and often are -- distributed with iOS updates. I have never received one independently of an iOS update. Three released updates for a few Android devices months ago. I strongly believe they are waiting for it to be released with iOS 9.2.

An example of this with another carrier is EE's Wifi Calling. Their carrier update enabling this was included and released with 8.3. People on 8.2 could, from that date onwards, install the carrier update separately if they chose, but the update wasn't released till it was released with 8.3 as this was the ideal method of distribution because users are notified about it more obviously. It was not just a coincidence that EE released it on the same date.

Carrier settings have certainly been released outside of iOS releases for different carriers. It's not something that happens often, but happens here and there.

Your reading comprehension is lacking- I said I have never received a carrier update independently of an iOS update and I'm on 3. I know it's possible- for people on other carriers, for people who've had an iPhone longer, or different models, for people who don't update iOS immediately. I'm saying it's an indication that carriers prefer to release them with iOS updates, and that I have always got them through that channel.

Nothing lacking anywhere--you stated you have never received it independent of an iOS update, and I replied commenting that other people have. It doesn't invalidate your experience, simply adds some information to it (information that wasn't included in what you said, although perhaps it could be said that it was implied in some sense). Nothing more, nothing less.

OS X and iOS betas are on ''weekly'' update schedule. this week only OS X beta 5 released, maybe they'll release final version for both of them next Tuesday or Wednesday,as you said.

Only we can do is just wait patiently :)

Not related to 9.2 but I wanted to share this and not create a new thread. On the Lock screen when you bring up Control Centre the date disappears below the time. Why? There's plenty of room.

Well, it had various fixes in it as well, and at least one performance improvement that was called out in relation to multitasking: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1842

I agree with C DM here. i felt the multitask improvement on my 6 plus. but thats it, 9.2 just have to improve the hole iOS this time. not just only multitask

If carriers choose to time thier settings updates with iOS releases, it's the carriers choice, and coincidence. Carrier Settings updates are not dependent upon iOS updates. They are carrier discretion. Hence why they're called what they are...

Carrier updates are bundled with iOS updates. Apple works with carriers to distribute them with iOS updates. Carrier version often increments when installing iOS updates. Yes carriers are free to release updates at other times. Where do you think they are downloaded from when this happens? Apple servers. Carriers work with Apple and carrier specific settings tweaks are ideally released with iOS updates, otherwise they're hosted for users to download separately.

I'm simply saying the info from Three suggests a likely iOS release timeframe. It could be wrong because Apple might not give them an exact date and is free to change it when they like. Or you're right it could have nothing to do with it. I just think it's likely. But we'll see.

I'm waiting on MetroPCS to finally support the iPhone 6s Plus on their network <_< I lost support when I upgraded from the 6 Plus. I know a carrier update is needed since the iPhone keeps trying to apply T-Mobile while I'm on MetroPCS
