Its the one thing that holds me back from ever getting an iPhone. I love my Touch, and would love to cut down on my devices (I currently use a Black Berry Tour).

The biggest problem is no replacable battery.

1. I would always be afraid to watch video, or listen to too much music for fear of loosing my phone while it had to re-charge.

2. It kinda feels like an rip off. Now Apple is pretty much assured that you have to replace your iPhone every 2 years or so since the battery will eventually die.

I like the fact that I always have an extra battery for my Black Berry on me, and will be able to use it for years to come, if I should choose.

Sometimes Apple drives me crazy.:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Never.

The reasons have been explained a million times. If you don't understand by now, I don't think repeating them will help.

You should buy a different phone.

as the future goes on apple always likes to get better and better battery life. At some point a battery being removeable or not will not matter because it will last all day regardless of what you do with it.

Thats still a generation or two away seeing as battery tech has some nice funding coming its way thanks to mr stimulus :)

If Europe passes legislation that requires all portable devices including phones to have batteries that are removable and user replaceable then Apple will have no choice but to do this.

They were going to pass it this year but it's been shelved for now.

Never. Come on, Apple has been making iPods and iPhones for years. Have they ever shown any inclination to put a user-replaceable battery in one?
Not only that, but who keeps their phone for more than 2 years? Personally, i don't. I like to keep up with the latest everything.

So Europe wants to force you to own larger cell phones than us?

Sorry.

And since the majority of users who can buy removable batteries actually don't buy them, it means most of you will be getting larger phones without any benefit whatsoever!

EDIT: Also, bye bye iPod Shuffle! I hope you didn't want one of those.

EU: We're going to pass some legislation requiring you to make batteries user replaceable.
Jobs: Or you could not do that and I wont kneecap you.
EU: Yes sir.

lol

1+ seems tons of Iphone users can't go one year with out the newest and greatest Iphone. I know I'm one but as of now I can't upgrade till Oct/2010 that month I will probably get my 4G 3G SX or what ever comes out on June.

If EU can tell MS what to do (remove IE from Win7, etc) I don't think that the Steve-o Mafia is going to frighten them much.

You know you would think that the exec's at Apple would pull their heads out of their ass's and add a removable battery.

1. They could sell spare batteries! $$$
2. They could sell spare battery chargers! $$$
3. They could sell spare battery doors! $$$
4. They could resolve a lot of bitching about "My Sim Door isn't Flush!" and hide the sim under the battery like 99% of other phones out there. (saves them $$$)
5. More people would take the iPhone seriously and less like the toy phone it is. (Selling more makes them $$$)
6. No one can honestly argue that adding a removable battery would add to the cost either. The Profit margin is already so high on the iPhone its not funny.
7. There is a HUGE difference between having a removable battery on your iPod vrs your iPhone. if your iPod dies... oh F.ing well... if your Phone dies, thats a different story. A businessman could loose a deal, a person may not be able to dial 911, If Apple wants to be taken seriously as a business Phone Provider they will eventually come around. Untill then you will never see major business's including the government using the iPhone.

Quick, get back under your bridge, the Three Billy-goats Gruff are coming!

Why are you wasting everyone's time writing made up stories that obviously aren't true?

What's the point?

Are you serious!? Posting an article BY APPLE.....

Tell me the percentage of companies that use the iPhone vrs Blackberry? Show me a Reputable Source that shows more companies use the iPhone and I will apologize... oh yea thats right you cant!

And why the hostility towards me? maybe because you know i'm right and you cant argue the facts so you would rather bash me!

Businesses use Blackberrys. That's true .... so?

Turns into...

Tell you what. Why don't you decide what you're trying to argue and THEN I'll respond again.

But as long as you're going to change your argument in every post you make, there's no way I respond to you, because even YOU don't know what you're trying to say. What chance do I have to figure it out?

My point was that untill Apple makes a removable battery it is not going to be taken seriously as a business option and it is freaking amazing to me that they haven't because it would MAKE them money if they DID!

Why do you feel a removable battery is so crucial to businesses? Are MBAs really carrying a handful of extras with them everywhere they go, as opposed to a charging cable for the desk/plane/office?

Do you feel this is what Blackberries are popular?
