Safari all the way on all devices (as I like tab syncing, etc...).
Only reason I use Google Chrome on my desktop (OSX) is because of flash as I don't have it on my system, so when some website really requires it I will use chrome for it.

I use Safari as my browser for my Mac, iPhone, and iPad, without question.

However, I keep Chrome installed on my Mac and iPad in the rare chance that I need to either access a Flash site or I need to test something on a different browser.

I wish Apple would keep a release schedule of Safari for Windows PCs. The Safari of recent really is one of the best browsers available.

To be honest I prefer FireFox than Safari...
Is there any risk if I don't update frequently Safari to the latest version due I always browse with FireFox?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide me

I've been a Chrome user for a long, long time, so when I switched over to the iMac that was one of the first things I downloaded. Though I have other browsers installed on my computer, for I like seeing how my websites that I design/develop look on other browsers as well.

Gonna guess he was most likely joking.

Some are using it today. I haven't tried it nor will I. =)

....The current version is 2.7ck11 (change-log), based on the Unix source for 2.7b5, released 24 October 2015. Please read the NCSA license before use. NCSA does not support this port; please send your comments and requests to ckaiser(at)floodgap.com....

So many using Safari.. I use Chrome as my primary browser, just because I hate having Adobe anything installed on my computers. Saves me from having to use Flash, and Silverlight for Netflix.

I refuse to use Firefox since they implemented Pocket with no way to get rid of it.

I'll have to give Safari another shake.

Seems there's no functioning XMarks for Safari under El Cap.. that's an instant show stopper for me.

Yes
Assuming it's not a script blocking issue, do you have a custom font...
No, but I did have of copy of Firefox that I've been updating (including migration asst) since 2010 or earlier. Ripped it all out, downloaded a fresh copy using Safari, installed, and the missing button problems are gone. Now I just have to log into everything all over again.

This is very important:

Do you guys notice that Chrome can't even ****ing render colors properly? Put both windows (chrome and safari) side by side, and chose any website, on any monitor, on any circumstances. Websites like the Verge are a good example, but any will do.

Safari is the only one rendering colors properly.

Google Chrome - First thing I download and install on any new device. I like that I can sign in to the browser and all my settings, bookmarks, and extensions are there.
Safari does this, Firefox does this, Opera too. In fact, I don't know of a browser that doesn't sync settings anymore.

You do understand that Chrome installs Flash on your Mac, don't you? It's just installed in the browser wrapper instead of as a system-wide service – but it's still installed. And I don't think Netflix uses Silverlight (made by Microsoft, not Adobe, BTW) anymore–though I could be wrong. If it is still required, it won't be for long–I remember reading the PR about them switching to HTML 5, or some such non-Silverlight tech.

They got rid of that feature a long time ago. But in the few versions of Firefox that it was in, you could simply not use it – much the same as if you don't want to have a specific button in the toolbar, you simply drag it out. It's still part of the browser, yes. But you aren't forced to use it.

I haven't used Xmarks in a long, long time... because there's really no need for it since all three major browsers already offer bookmark syncing on their own.

Their site still has Safari listed though – Is the extension just not working, or is it the entire service that doesn't work with Safari?

I have a fleet of iDevices that I use for all sorts of things and realized I use different browsers for each device. Seems kind of silly to me and its habbit from acquiring them at different times. I use Chrome on my iPhone from when I had an HP laptop, Safari on my iPad because its newest and I haven't fiddled with it much yet and FireFox on my rMBP.

I figure switching it up and using the same one on all 3 would making transferring windows and sessions quite a bit easier so what is everyone out there using?

I should add my rMBP is on 10.11.2 and the iPad and my 6S Plus are both on 9.2

The reason I like Chrome on my rMBP is because I can see all my favorites in the top bar; I like clicking them when I need to. I don't like opening and trying to find them.

It's still there in the latest version from what I saw. I don't trust random extensions installed for profit making by the vendor.

True, but I use XMarks because I don't want to have to use separate syncing service. The XMarks extension hasn't been updated for a while for Safari and doesn't work with the current version.

Personally, I would prefer a cross browser bookmark syncing extension that worked with my own server.

Chrome has a "Widevine Content Decryption Module" that allows it to play Netflix without Microsoft Silverlight.. not sure if Firefox has implemented their own yet. You're right about Flash though, it's embedded in Chrome as a native plugin.
