Which Case Did You Get For Your New iPhone 12/Mini/Pro/Max? [Merged]

My Cyrill Color Brick came in today. I really like everything about this case. The case feels absolutely amazing. (It even passes the pinky test.) I’d say it adds the same amount of thickness on all four sides as the Apple leather case. From what I can tell, the Sheath, Apple leather, and the Cyrill Color Brick are the same width on the sides, but the Apple leather and the Cyrill Color Brick are both taller than the Sheath.

Spigen Thin fit owners: Is it grippy at all or slippery? Tempted to grab one since there are more colors..

The black one is definitely more grippy than the navy blue one I received the other day, though the navy isn’t slippery at all. However, the navy blue one has a slight sag at the bottom that the black one doesn’t have. I’m not sure about the other colors.

Is the back matt or clear?

The back is more of a frosted finish. The promotional verbiage describes the back as translucent, and that is the word I would use as well - the back allows light but not detailed shapes. It reminds me of shower curtains from a shower scene in a PG-13 movie.

I think the Civilian is the winner. That orange is very nice and more of that orange is better than some of it being covered with black corners.

My new favorite case (for the moment) has arrived. The UAG Civilian. Case fits the 12PM perfect and I love that it maintains the squared off design of the phone. The buttons work perfect, excellent grip, correct asymmetrical cutouts with no saggy bottom. Lays perfectly flat on the back and no fingerprint problems. The only con is that it is a heavy sucker at 55 grams. Last case of the year for me. Here are some pics:

I’m gonna post some comparison pics in the Sheath thread later on, but here’s the Ocean Blue. I’m really liking the color. Not as bright and garish as the Electric Blue (which is fine), but a nice, understated bluish/dark teal-ish color.

That is a gorgeous colour.

Well, I had a black Apple leather case for my 12 Pro that was supposed to be coming today. At one point the tracking said it was on the truck for delivery, but I guess the FedEx driver never went out or if he/she went out they turned around and headed back to the depot.

I suppose I have to wait until Monday now to get it.

Shipping and delivery is a real ****show in Covid times.

I have the Silver 12 Pro Max. I’d love to find a light colored protective case (easier for me to see) but as others have noted, there aren’t a lot of cases available. I was relieved that I could get the UAG Civilian before I got my phone as I’m clumsy and distracted and dare not go caseless.
