I just got the pitaka mag case and it’s stunning. Love how minimal it is but that it adds some grip. Trying to decide now if it is too ‘minimal’ though. I am generally really careful with my phones but one accident and I don’t know if it would survive in the pitaka.

has anyone ever dropped their phone in the magcase?

Interestingly- the Amazon site said the one I ordered is for the 12 pro only.

Is there a significant difference in the size of the camera unit?

Last Christmas gift card purchase just arrived. I’m going to have a handful of great options once the Bullstrap arrives. My wife has been using the same silicone case on her 8 since she got it and I like how it has aged so I’m tempted to roll with this instead of the leather. I’d usually side with leather but I’ve yet to see any sort of decent looking patina on this year’s saddle brown.

I find the UAG Civilian to be svelte compared to the OtterBox case that was on my 8+ (the OtterBox was an Apple exclusive with the back 2/3 clear and 1/3 blue leather and was not as thick as the most protective OtterBox cases). The case does add weight but I wouldn't call it thick. With the UAG case on, my 12 Pro Max is narrower than my 8+ in its OtterBox case even though both phones are the same width.

Silicone is a solid option. Which leather case(s) do you roll with?

I’ve always used Apple’s but this is my first experience with saddle brown. I usually have a midnight blue of some sort, be it leather or silicone. The last two years (XS, 11 Pro) I used leather 95% of the time and midnight blue silicone the rest.

The Ocean should deliver on Monday so that’s going to be in the running starting that day. One was a gift, the two silicone cases I bought with Apple gift cards and the Ocean I paid for so the way I look at it, I have four great cases for the price of one great case.

Variety is the spice of life from what I hear. ??‍♂️

That’s a great haul for the price of one! Yep, if variety is the spice of life, then I’m living a pretty spicy phone case life ? I have more cases than I practically need and I’m not sure what to do with some of my ‘deprecated’ cases. I suppose I could sell on eBay. My bullstrap black edition should be here Tue. Post pics once you get the ocean, if you can.
