No love for the Gear4 Battersea? If only it had the correct asymmetrical cutouts on the bottom

Well, the UAG Civilian is out for me, for now. The back seems real thick when handling. The width isn't bad, but the back of case just makes my phone feel real thick. This is just me, so maybe you'll have a different experience. Switched back to my Nomad Rugged in Rustic Brown (modified lock/power button). This thing is perfect now that my buttons are super responsive. It's like putting on those trusty work boots that are broke in and feel super comfortable.

I hear what you're saying and tend to agree. I got mine in Mallard a couple of days ago and I have no issue with the height or width that it adds. It definitely adds something to the back, but to me it just seems to make the phone really heavy overall. I know it's a somewhat chunkier, protective case, but it just feels like a brick in my hand with the Civilian on it.

With the buttons, the covers are longer than the buttons so if you don't press right in the middle over the button itself, it feels really mushy. Of the cases I currently have, the button action, while not terrible, is definitely the worst of the lot.

On mine too, if you look closely, it shows a very little bit of the silvery bezel between the screen and the edge of the case, which none of the others I have seem to do.

I'll keep it around and maybe give it another try, but I've got the green Apple silicone coming tomorrow (which I've tried before and return because I could justify the $50 price tag, but this one I was able to get 40%, and it's definitely worth the $30 to me) and I have a Sheath coming Monday. So, those with the others I have, I suspect, will keep the Civilian out of rotation. I may end up selling it.

I’m sorry to hear this. I don’t have either of these issues. My buttons are perfectly responsive and no bezel shows. Perhaps you have a defective case?

The buttons are responsive as long as I push directly over the button. But the button covers seem to be longer as part of the design, so if I don't push directly over the button, it feels mushy. Not a deal breaker by itself, but just something I noticed comparing it to the other 5-6 cases I have.

Sorry about that. I can push anywhere on the button and they respond with a satisfying click. (I have the 12 PM.)

I have had this case on my list to get. I have kept the Dbrand Grip on my phone and like it, bu I am not sure of the drop protection on it. I like to be cautious. I wish it did have the asymmetrical cutouts but if it protects, feels good and has good front and camera protection and sits flat - I may get it.

How's the grip on that one? I have the Aneu series and it's slippery. i Have the caudabe sheath now but I'm looking for a change and looking at that symmettry or the apple white silicone since I just want grip and I don't need much protection
If you’re looking for grip and minimal protection, I would suggest the Apple silicone case.

The white gets dirty over time which is why I opted for the Otterbox. (Have family with the white silicone.)

I find the grip on the Symmetry+ comparable to the leather case with its plastic/rubber sides. 5EB38EE7-B079-465C-86AA-E3E53654B70B.jpeg 3CA80CDE-E8DA-48F2-8CB1-DFF10449D8D3.jpeg 0BACF446-375C-4CBA-82DC-30FC8731DC92.jpeg

Looks nice. Can you comment on the following:

  • Back and Side grip
  • Clickyness of buttons
  • Saggyness of bottom
  • Lip height
Thank you!
I just picked up the symmetry + last night and I just say it’s much better than years past. The grip is nice , buttons work great and feel clicky yet are sort of flush ..lip is a little more than the Apple Leather and most importantly the bottom does not sag like past cases , I like it a lot more than I thought I would , it will hold up much better than the Apple cases for sure .

Welp I made it a week. The Bullstrap is in a drawer and I’m back in the Cyprus Green silicone case. As I was typing this I noticed a big gob of lint stuck to one of the corners.

No big deal.

I’ve been in the black silicone case since Friday afternoon. Definitely liking it. Kinda got over the lint issue, which bothered me the first time I tried this case.

Looking forward to getting my batch of other apple silicone cases in on Tuesday, including the cypress green!

  • Back and Side grip = Excellent
  • Clickyness of buttons = 6/10 kind of stiff
  • Saggyness of bottom = None
  • Lip height = pretty good, see pic below
Thank you!

The best part of the Battersea case is the soft D3O interior that will protect your phone.

The ridges of the back do collect a bunch of dust and junk :(

I had the green silicone and returned it due to the price tag. But I was able to get it 40% off through Amazon, and it should be here today. I really like it, any potential lint issues aside.

I think it'll turn out that my rotation will be the Bullstrap Sienna, Apple Silicone in Green, Sheath in Ocean Blue, and Spigen Slim Fit in Navy Blue. I have a few others that I can throw on from time-to-time if the mood strikes me, but those will probably be the main ones.
