Hi Folks,

Greetings. Happy New Year!
Please give me some sound advice.

Does this case look defective to you? I've noticed it right out of the box. It's from Casetify @casetify and I want to return it immediately. But it's customized with message, but why would they customize a bent/ crooked case in the first place? Now, my 12 pro max cannot properly fit inside, and they won't return any messages. I'm really, really disappointed! @Casetify won't even process a return if they don't "approve" of it first.

But what can I do with a case that doesn't even work! This is really bad quality control. Arghhhhh...What would you do if you were me?

Keep on them and definitely return it. That’s ridiculous. That case is clearly defective.

What happens when you put it on? Seems like the rigidity of the phone would hold the case straight and keep it from doing the wobble on a flat surface.

Or am I off base here? I know Mous cases tend to have the same defect and I see a lot of people returning them for it.

Looks like that case has a case of the Mous Banana Boat bend  Probably a good fidget spinner if you flip it over on it's back.

Definitely return it. I don’t know what their process is, but maybe the phone was bent as they were screen printing.

You're totally right about it being a spinner. The fact that it is concave shaped, it has no grip on any flat surface.
I'm SO pissed off. Let me show you a pic. I don't know whether I should laugh or cry. It ain't the way I want protection for my $1000 phone.

Got the regular Otterbox Defender in the mail. Will update tomorrow with pictures! I read the Defender has been updated to be much slimmer than previous designs.

Love this. ;)
Most case companies will send you a replacement for free and let you keep the original one also.

It’s a great case. Exactly like the Otterbox Pursuit, if you’ve used it in the past. Buttons are responsive. Adds some bulk, but if you need heavy duty drop protection, it’s well worth it. Somewhat pricey, so try to snag it on sale.

Mine started to get a circular scratch from the MagSafe because the back is hard PVC and very smooth and slippery. Not to happy, it’s a pricey case.

Incipio Duo case in today. This is a two piece case like the Otterbox Commuter. Softer silicone liner with a hard outer shell. Case fits the phone great, lays nice and flat on the back, looks fantastic but the buttons SUCK 🤢 Thought I found the perfect case until I tried to buttons. Was going to order the black so I could use the black shell with the volt green liner but think I'll hold off for now. Here are a couple pics:

Got my Sheath in Ocean Blue today. Good case. May do the razor blade on the volume buttons trick as they are slightly mushy. Power button is fine. Blue looks really nice. Texture is very similar to the Ringke Onyx I have, though a touch "rougher" but not in a bad way.

Seems like I can settle on a rotation of:
Bullstrap in Sienna
Apple silicone in Cypress Green
Caudabe Sheath in Ocen Blue
Spigen Thin Fit in Navy Blue

I have a couple of black cases as well if that mood should ever strike me.

I may get rid of the USG Civilian in Mallard. I like the case, but it adds a touch more bulk and weight than I personally prefer. I am generally pretty careful with my phones, so the drop protection that some of these other thinner style cases do offer should generally be enough in my use cases.

Do you have any pics of the thin fit in navy blue? Thinking of grabbing the deep blue or the mint. Just wondering how the grip is.

To those that have the Tech21 Evo Check, where would you rank that on your list of cases? I thought I was done looking for cases because of my Apple leather case. However, I'm still not liking that the stainless steel is exposed around the screen. I would switch to the Sheath, but the lightning port cutout is too sharp and it hurts my pinky, especially since I've been using the Apple leather for so long. I've been circling back through this thread and making notes of cases that had good feedback from the community. The Tech21 Evo Check had a good run through this thread for a while, but I noticed people stopped recommending it.
