What gives, both slippery, both crappy cutouts

I've said this before, but my dream case is the Apple leather case they made for the iPhone 5S, except with the current generation's buttons. This is my all-time favorite case. It's the reason I buy an Apple leather case for every iPhone that I purchase. You would think one of these case makers would ASK US what we would like in a case. I believe most of us have very similar wants in a protective case...
Colors really shouldn't be too much of an issue... Am I missing anything that we all seem to be looking for? Other than a clear case, these "should" be easy for a case maker to do...
- The grip of a Dbrand Grip case (my preference of all the cases right now)
- The front bezel and camera protection of the UAG Monarch (lay flat back)
- The button response of the RhinoSheild (or insert another great case - I like the Catalyst mute knob)
- Matte back to hide fingerprints
- Clean asymmetrical cutouts that arent sharp
- The drop protection of the Battersea
- The size/weight of a Catalyst Influence
Yeah that’s sleek. I like the drilled holes on the bottom.I've said this before, but my dream case is the Apple leather case they made for the iPhone 5S, except with the current generation's buttons. How do you feel about the current lineup of colors? Personally, I think the blue and green are fantastic but they're definitely not spring-y colors. Kumquat or the pink would carry over nicely into the brighter days. What do y’all think. Should I hang on to my Apple gift card and hope that new colors get released for the spring for silicone cases or just grab one now? With what I have on my gift card, should only be paying $10 so that’s why I’ve been hesitant to use it now just in case.
I wish they’d figure out how to get their cases out more quickly. That’s probably the case I’ll wind up with whenever it comes out.iPhone 13 will be out before Phone Rebel gets his cases for the 12 to market

Initially got the 12 Pro. Loved the size so much I swore I wouldn't spend hundreds on cases like I did with my previous phones. Got an Apple Silicon and was happy.
Wife gets her 12 Pro Max. I am jealous. I give 12 Pro to mother in law and get a 12 Pro Max. I then go through the Sena leather, Nomad leather, Apple Leather, and then Bullstrap (got accidentally for free) and Berkley.
Ended up selling the Sena, Nomad, and Apple. Sena and Apple too thin. Nomad was too big. I've kept the Bullstrap and Berkley but ... honestly prefer the Apple Silicon because of the reduced size/weight.
Well. Maybe next phone.
I got the 12 Pro on my Apple Upgrade Plan (traded in my 11 Pro Max for it).How does that work? Just buy the max outright? I wanted the max after getting the pro but they said it was outside the 15 day window.
Yes, and it's about the same size as the Sheath but IMO blows the Sheath away in every aspect. Is this the onyx people are talking about? Looks more bulky than the Caudabe?
I think it's deceiving because of the extra material around the camera and the corners (on the front and the back). I can confirm that the pictures @Hooterville has shared (and will share based on his recent reply) are accurate. The sides of both cases are pretty identical. The only difference is that the Onyx is ever so slightly taller than the Sheath. Is this the onyx people are talking about? Looks more bulky than the Caudabe?

It kind of bugs me that the $28 Sheath isn’t military drop rated, but $11 cases from Spigen and Ringke are. Caudabe claims more than that, but it makes me hesitant to believe them when they don’t bother to get officially drop tested.
I figured they had to have drop testing done to sport the badge. Makes me wonder why Spigen doesn’t have it on their Thin Fit cases.None of these cases are actually military drop tested, it's just marketing fluff.
That is it. FWIW, the blue one I ordered fits perfectly. The black one you can see the metal band at the top and bottom of the phone. That one I will return and try another black one to see if it’s going to fit like my blue one does. Fingers crossed. Is this the onyx people are talking about? Looks more bulky than the Caudabe?
Do a drop test for fun?The Onyx is a dope case for sure. Still rocking mine.
