Mous VS SlipperySuit  both pretty slippery fellas ;)

What gives, both slippery, both crappy cutouts :(

You would think one of these case makers would ASK US what we would like in a case. I believe most of us have very similar wants in a protective case...

  • The grip of a Dbrand Grip case (my preference of all the cases right now)
  • The front bezel and camera protection of the UAG Monarch (lay flat back)
  • The button response of the RhinoSheild (or insert another great case - I like the Catalyst mute knob)
  • Matte back to hide fingerprints
  • Clean asymmetrical cutouts that arent sharp
  • The drop protection of the Battersea
  • The size/weight of a Catalyst Influence
Colors really shouldn't be too much of an issue... Am I missing anything that we all seem to be looking for? Other than a clear case, these "should" be easy for a case maker to do...
I've said this before, but my dream case is the Apple leather case they made for the iPhone 5S, except with the current generation's buttons. This is my all-time favorite case. It's the reason I buy an Apple leather case for every iPhone that I purchase.

What do y’all think. Should I hang on to my Apple gift card and hope that new colors get released for the spring for silicone cases or just grab one now? With what I have on my gift card, should only be paying $10 so that’s why I’ve been hesitant to use it now just in case.

How do you feel about the current lineup of colors? Personally, I think the blue and green are fantastic but they're definitely not spring-y colors. Kumquat or the pink would carry over nicely into the brighter days.

Initially got the 12 Pro. Loved the size so much I swore I wouldn't spend hundreds on cases like I did with my previous phones. Got an Apple Silicon and was happy.

Wife gets her 12 Pro Max. I am jealous. I give 12 Pro to mother in law and get a 12 Pro Max. I then go through the Sena leather, Nomad leather, Apple Leather, and then Bullstrap (got accidentally for free) and Berkley.

Ended up selling the Sena, Nomad, and Apple. Sena and Apple too thin. Nomad was too big. I've kept the Bullstrap and Berkley but ... honestly prefer the Apple Silicon because of the reduced size/weight.

Well. Maybe next phone. :(

I tried the Evutec for a day. It’s nice. I like it. Today I’m trying the Thin Fit. Initially it feels smoother. Really nothing can beat the Onyx for me so far. I wish it had a slightly tighter fit on the phone though.

How does that work? Just buy the max outright? I wanted the max after getting the pro but they said it was outside the 15 day window.

I got the 12 Pro on my Apple Upgrade Plan (traded in my 11 Pro Max for it).

Then I just used my Apple Credit Card to do a monthly plan for the 12 Pro Max. So... while mother in law is very happy, I'm paying for a few more phones than I usually do <cough>. (I gave my 12 Pro to my mother in law).

So basically, yeah, paid for 12 Pro Max outright from Apple's perspective.

Is this the onyx people are talking about? Looks more bulky than the Caudabe?

I think it's deceiving because of the extra material around the camera and the corners (on the front and the back). I can confirm that the pictures @Hooterville has shared (and will share based on his recent reply) are accurate. The sides of both cases are pretty identical. The only difference is that the Onyx is ever so slightly taller than the Sheath.

It kind of bugs me that the $28 Sheath isn’t military drop rated, but $11 cases from Spigen and Ringke are. Caudabe claims more than that, but it makes me hesitant to believe them when they don’t bother to get officially drop tested.

Sheath is average in a drop the sides will come away, happened to me with a XS max, fell about 2 ft off a cupboard onto a draw that was open, hit on the side and case come apart and chipped/cracked the screen protector, luckily i had one on.
No way it would survive a 6ft drop onto concrete imo.

That is it. FWIW, the blue one I ordered fits perfectly. The black one you can see the metal band at the top and bottom of the phone. That one I will return and try another black one to see if it’s going to fit like my blue one does. Fingers crossed.
