You lot are crazy. Only 4 pages and just over 100 posts left to surpass iPhone 11 case thread in record time. God knows how many dollars and pounds spent in this thread.
For me at least, when it’s tech that I touch multiple times a day, accessories are really important. They have to feel and look good. And accessories are such a great and affordable way to change the experience.

I loved the Phone Rebel on my 11PM, so I’m really looking forward to the new release, which is supposedly next month for the closed sides and sometime afterwards for the open sides.

I ultimately would like a bumper to see the back but still have protection, but there aren’t really any options, with K11 gone, Rhinoshield way too thick, and the Supcase is only for the smaller phone.
Looks like the Phone Rebel Gen 2 Crystal is releasing next week - he announced it on IG. I'm excited for that one!

Ok, more thoughts.

1. Caudaube Sheath - I got the Ocean Blue color and it is beautiful! What a terrific complement to the Pacific Blue iPhone. With that said, I think it's going back. I blame this on Hooterville, because I'd be fine with the Sheath if the Ringke Onyx didn't exist... haha. I immediately noticed the buttons and the texture. The buttons are a bit firmer and harder to press by comparison, and the Sheath is slightly smoother and slicker to my typically dry hands. Hoot said it best - the Onyx really is a better Sheath. Another thing I noticed is that the Sheath seems to fit tighter on the phone vs. the Onyx, so that's good for drop protection I think. My wife also mentioned that it might show dirt quickly, as handling it for 10 minutes showed a few scuff marks, while there's nothing on the Onyx that I've been using full time since Saturday.

2. Evutec AER Carbon - I like this case. Thanks to @Min Wang for getting me a sample to review. It's the AER that's familiar with an updated design for the new iPhone. The texture is nice, however for some reason I had a harder time holding onto it. It's like since the grooves on the side are a straight line, the phone would slide out of my hands, if that makes sense. If it had maybe a crosshatch pattern it would probably be better. I also noticed a slight weight difference but I'm sure that's because of the embedded magnets. One thing that bothered me was you can see the aluminum frame of the phone in some parts. The Onyx I can't see it at all. I don't know if seeing the frame is a good/bad thing but it's something I noticed. Kinda hard to photograph but I'll do my best.

The Evutec stayed on my phone longer than the Sheath did. But by the end of the day I was back on the Onyx.

I keep looking at these other cases but I keep coming back to Apple’s MagSafe cases. This MagSafe tech is such a win in my book. I have one for night charging and one at the office. I love the magnetic snap and that I don’t have to mess with the lightning chord at night.

This is probably the first true praise for MagSafe I’ve seen. Glad to hear someone is finally enjoying it. My wallet arrives tomorrow so this is refreshing after all the criticism.

Dude I ordered one Sunday night and it got delivered today. Put it on a few hours ago and I am digging it! I really like that it keeps the form factor and feel of the naked phone with the squared off design. Now I have to see if they make one for the Pixel 5 but I doubt it.
