My Evutec Karbon case arrived today. I buy this case with every new iPhone I buy. It is form fitted, really thin but protective, soft to touch and IMO looks great. The same case on my 11 Pro Max looked great after almost a year of use. I usually don’t drop my phones but this case provides good protection. The camera is protected and just the right amount of lip for the screen. I tested my MagSafe charger and it attached and started charging perfectly. For me one of the best aspects of this case is it is easy to insert my phone in and just as easy to remove. And the buttons are perfect, not stiff like some cases. I'm very happy with this.

Some more pictures of the ESR leather case... This time actually black.

Feel is good. A bit ... slippery? Almost paperlikeI‘d say. Feels like it is a rather slim layer of leather. But since it‘s actually genuine leather, I believe it will age well and grip and feel will get better over time...

I have a glass screen protector installed, and the sides are still raised above the screen...

By the way, it is exactly 25 grams. The generic TPU clear case I‘ve got earlier was 21 grams. So the leather one is not much heavier, but looks and feels more premium.

I‘ve paid 24€ on Amazon Germany.
Thanks for the high quality photos - this is my go-to choice for the iPhone Mini. Bit concerned about the 'slippery' feel, but as you say, the nice thing about genuine leather is that it gets easier to hold and grip over time.

Have you also installed the camera lens protector from ESR?

I understand where you're coming from, and while I am a big fan and am waiting for Apple's leather case for the iPhone 12/Pro, you really should broaden you're horizons a bit.

I understand it can be intimidating with all of the different brands out there, but this forum and others like it are a great resource. The reviews and experiences here are certainly more trustworthy than Amazon reviews. I ordered a Caudabe sheath, based on reading multiple threads on this forum, to use until apple releases their leather cases.

I have the ESR Metro Leather and screen protectors ordered but I had already received the Humixx Crystal Clear and I really like the look and feel. Super low profile, lip doesn't get in the way of swiping, buttons are okay, I may keep this one. Not all that great in the smudge and fingerprint department and offers minimal protection so I would recommend for those that prefer no case.
I'll try to get some pics posted tomorrow.

Look forward to the pics. I loved the humixx case on my Xr. When it would yellow I’d just order another because it was perfect.

I would just order but I like cases that don’t ‘round’ the 12 off. If that makes sense. I have a clear case which makes the sides round and one of the things I like about the 12 is the flat sides. So I don’t want a case to mask those.

I know what you mean. This one keep the shape of the phone pretty well. I'm going to have to take pics with my daughters iPod Touch lol... and yes, at $9.49 I'm okay buying a new one every six months if I have to.

I am one of the first people to buy a Evutec Karbon case and did the same again this year. Unfortunately, Double the side edges do not fit over the phone. If you read around some reviews, others are complaining of the same. I am looking at your pics and I think I see it as well. Does it fit ok on your phone?

They stuffed up by having the top/bottom/left/right front lips the same height as the corner lips. Companies need to think better - swiping from all sides needs to be unhindered on a phone with a gesture-focussed OS.

You barely notice the lips when you’re swiping. You don’t have to have your fingers right on the edge of the screen to use gestures.

I got mine last week and just requested a refund. The sides bows. The lip is there on the top and bottom but not the middle sides. I've used Evutec for my last 3 iPhones. I am hoping it gets fixed so I can buy it later on.

alright I'm curious - does anyone’s silicone case have a hard plastic ring around the charging port? I've watched some reviews on YT and for the black and white ones (at least from what I've seen) looks like it's a soft plastic down there unless I'm wrong. I bought the plum and it kept digging into my pinky so I returned it

I’m one of those people who can only buy products made by Apple for my iPhone.

I bought the white silicone case and the clear plastic one.

The white case seems to add zero weight. It’s insanely soft to the touch and it takes the “sharpness” off the iPhone’s edges. It makes the blue camera bump really pop and the whole combo looks great. It’s a win.

The clear case is very soft. But it’s visually distracting, a massive fingerprint magnet and the white circle is not centred around the Apple logo. Total fail. It’s going back.

Both cases are fiddly to get on and off. But I love the animation on the lock screen when you put them on.
I really want to love and keep my clear MagSafe case but it’s annoyingly slippery. Fingerprints don’t bother me and are easy enough to wipe off. I just hate being afraid to hold phone due to the slippery sensation. I feel like this case will actually cause me to drop the phone while I adjust to it’s slightly bigger size for my hand. The X felt perfect for me... didn’t realize this would be such an adjustment.

I’m interested in the kumquat but I want to use something that shows the phone color for a bit because the PB is gorgeous.

I may try out there Tech21 case but I wanted an official MS Apple case. The off center thing doesn’t bother me much.

I just really wish this case had more grip. It’s pretty. I’m also praying the case isn’t destroying the edges of the phone. My X got horridly scratched up but every case but I always chalked it up to the finish. 😌

I’ll probably just go see if I can trade for the kumquat... I hate that this phone and case are such lint magnets.

I just received the Evutec Karbon for my 12 pro. It is 100% identical to last year‘s case. The only thing I had hoped would change would be that the rubber edges would be a little bit firmer. Unfortunately that’s not the case. Overall however, it’s a very solid case

Spigen Ultra Hybrid in Matte Black, waiting for the Apple Leather though.

I bought this case and was disappointed that the sides bow out and don’t fit right. Been talking with their support people but I’m not thinking it can be resolved. Seems to be some sort of missed measurement problem. Probably gonna sent it back next week for a refund. Too bad because otherwise it seemed to be a great case. :(

What clear case is that with the round sides? Do you have a pic?

DO you have any pics to show this? I just ordered this case and will receive it Tuesday.

Do the sides fit properly or do they bow?

No I don’t. You’re getting yours on Tuesday so it’s really an moot point.

I’d be interested in hearing how yours fits. I’d really like to have a good copy but I think it’s a manufacturing issue so I’m not optimistic.

Let’s us know.
