Really good fit. Some grip on the sides. The hole for the silent switch is offset and doesn’t look great. I think it’s very expensive for what you get. I will use it for a day and see how I do. No doubt will go back to my sheath.

I have phone rebel gen 2 on the way and gear4 snap to try next.

I keep thinking about it too

It’s like, when I had Gen 1 I was thinking I’d like it to be covered on the sides. And I got the clear one now and it’s nice, but now I’m thinking about swapping for the Rebel cuz of the magnets that I’ll probably never use. And the magnets on the Grip are kinda weak, but I only use it for charging so it doesn’t really matter.

Bottom line: I should just stay out of this thread. Lol

Is that for the Pro Max? I’d be interested in the comparison to the Rebel when you get that.

Phone Rebel Case: Quality built case with nice aramid fiber backing. The gray interior backing is of a softer tpu and a safe cushion for the back of your phone. The buttons have slits on both sides but are on point and work fantastic.
The Pro Max does lay nice and flat on it's back while inside of the rebel case.
The sides are smooth, slick and slippery. :( There is a gap at the top of the screen that lets the shiny top edge of the phone show through and I don't like that. The bottom is also a bit saggy. Overall I'm not that thrilled with this case but your mileage may vary. Here are a couple of low quality pics:

Thanks for posting these. I’ve been this close to pulling the trigger on this case, but was waiting for more reviews. That saggy top and bottom sealed the deal for me to pass. I can’t stand when cases show part of the frame. Either show it all the way around like the Apple cases or cover it completely.

Thanks for saving me $40+.

That’s the worst. For instance, I really like the new navy colored Rhinoshield, but having already tried their royal blue and carbon fiber case, I know those cases are as slippery as a wet bar of soap. I can’t understand why case companies can’t add a more grippy frame around the phone like DBrand.

Might as well just buy the Mous case if you have to live with these downfalls. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad case but why they can't add any texture to the sides is beyond me. That gap at the top will drive me insane

At least the Rhinoshield has a nice tight fit.

I am liking his this Pitaka EZMag 2 fits my phone and feels in my hand. Everything next to the dbrand Grip feels slippery now. This Pitaka isn't that bad as the sides are a little textured. The MagSafe grip is excellent with a car mount on this Pitaka. Dbrand failed here! I do wish it laid flat, though...

My Rebel won't be here today, so hopefully Monday.

Thanks for the review. I am cancelling my order based on this. I prefer the mous 4.0. Fit is perfect.

I’ve seen some banter about the Mous 4.0 being a slightly different design from the 3.0. Like, possibly a bit thinner on the sides? Any idea if that’s true?

Besides the lack of grip, the only thing about the 3.0 I didn’t love was how rounded and huge the sides felt. I wish case companies would stop making the sides of their cases rounded and make them follow the design language of the phone and make them flat or squared off.

It’s feels slightly thinner than the 3.0 I have. Yes it’s rounded. I probs go back to my sheath. But it’s a good case is the mous. Pricey mind.

I’ve tried the Sheath for a few days and went back to my Catalyst Vibe for 12Pm. The Side grip and the bottom “pinky rest” is much better. Will switch back in a few days to the sheath tho.

I agree about the slickness. I thought I was biased after having the dbrand.

Interesting about the saggy top and bottom though! My Phone Rebel clear case definitely didn’t have that problem - I would have noticed that off the bat. But I might throw it back on just to see.

EDIT: I just went and looked at the pics that I took of it. Definitely don’t have that showing at the top. Maybe a QC issue?

Not a QC issue as the top is made like this. It's not a deal breaker for the case.
The bottom has more of a straight piece there.

I've been using the Rebel for a couple of hours now and overall it's a pretty decent case. The feel and handling are pretty good besides the smooth, slippery sides. The aramid fiber is not showing as many fingerprints as the Mous case does.
I'll test drive it for a couple of days and see how it goes.

I tried to get a couple pics of the top & bottom lips:

Interesting. My wife’s Clarity came in and the front looks similar with her white 12. So now I’ll go back and look at my Clarity. Maybe since mine is blue I don’t notice it much?
