I don't like mine at all anymore after using the Nomad rugged for 3 weeks.
Cases are personal items. Everyone has their preferences and uses. For me, the Nomad Rugged adds bulk and is thick. My case use doesn't really put drop protection high on the list. I like the feel, grip and looks.

How does it compare?
Compared to the Supcase: the Poetic one has proper bottom port cutouts, a longer 3 year warranty, better feeling rubber, kickstand pull tab is larger and much easier to pull the kickstand out, increased rubber on corners that help with drops, comes with 2 frames (one to use your own glass screen protector and one with their built-in one), better feeling/more tactile buttons, nicer rear design in my opinion........just a few things to name.

Trust me, go with the Poetic case if you're on the fence. To me it's the perfect rugged case. It's definitely higher quality and better thought out. I used to be a huge Supcase fan until I found Poetic.

That's why i like the Nomad better, nothing to do with drop protection. Although the sheath is flimsy in comparison.
Have you shared pictures of the Nomad? My old brain has a hard time keeping up with all of the posts here. I had one for my Mini and actually really liked it. I’ve had my finger on the trigger with the 50% off code since the MagSafe version was released.

Question about the 50% off code.

I ordered a Nomad when they were running that promotion, that you'd get 50% off the MagSafe version when it released.

Do they send you the code? Do you request it? Does it just show up on your account on their site?

So I take back a little of what I said about the Apple silicone. I’ve barely used mine, and just now, a small piece of the silicone material came off in one of the top corners.

this just happened to mine. 4 months into owning this case and it has a similar chip at the bottom left corner. does anyone know if apple will replace this?

Really good fit. Some grip on the sides. The hole for the silent switch is offset and doesn’t look great. I think it’s very expensive for what you get. I will use it for a day and see how I do. No doubt will go back to my sheath.

I have phone rebel gen 2 on the way and gear4 snap to try next.
Nice that you finally received it. How is the dust protection(despite volume slits and massive cutouts) and how is the internal lining? Is this new TPU worse than the microsuede from the 3.0? Does it look like the internal lining patterns could damage the back of the phone? It looks like a hard TPU comparable to Otterbox Symmetry. Lastly, is it difficult to take on/off? Thanks in advance.

Dust is same as sheath. Nothing I’m worried about. Lining is normal TPU. Not sure how the internal pattern could damage the phone. It’s a tight fit. But easy to take off.

Ah cool. Well I have supcase now. I’ve made an addition to the holster so it attaches to my vent mount by magnet.

Last year on my Samsung I bought both poetic and supcase. The poetic was nice but didn’t have a holster. I’ve found great use out of the holster as mentioned above.

Was curious to know what this years poetic offered on the iPhones. Thanks!

Good point on the Poetic that it doesn’t come a holster. Both are great cases!

Wow. Despite the fact that the Sheeth lacks the huge cutouts and volume slits? So the volume slits seem like their not an issue. Interesting. What about the unnecessary cutout for the eyelet?

It’s a bit oversized but fine. I prefer the sheath overall and will be sending the mous back. It’s a good case though. Just not for me.
