My Spigen Thin Fit finally arrived. I used it for a day and a half. I think a majority of the people here would love this case.
- The size is literally between an Apple leather case and a Caudabe Sheath (in terms of height and width).
- Out of the cases that I have, it's the most rigid and it feels incredibly solid. I'm not sure if it has any drop rating, but the case gives the impression that it'll protect the phone through most anything.
- It hugs the phone really tight. Out of the cases that I have, it's the only one that has a snap when I put the phone in.
- The grip is amazing. I have the black and the back feels rubbery like a Pitaka or Evutec case, and the material extends almost halfway down all four sides. (Attracts lint, dust, and fingerprints that can be easily wiped off.) The only negative, besides the lint/dust/fingerprints, is that the rubbery material feels like one of those materials that can get permanently scratched and marked easily.
- There are cutouts around each of the buttons that are bigger than I thought they'd be. For those worried about dust getting in, I'd run away from this case. (Buttons are very tactile for this reason, though.)
- The cutout for the mute toggle switch is very, very generous.
- From pictures I've seen, it looked like the logo on the back of the case would be obnoxious, but it's really not bad at all. It actually looks subtle in person.
- Whether it passes the pinky test is a yes and no. While it passes my traditional pinky test (it doesn't cut into my pinky, leaving an impression, and turning the tip purple), the case does add weight to the phone, so I feel the extra weight on my pinky. So, instead of causing pain, it just causes a slight discomfort.
While I won't be using it, I definitely recommend this case. It appears that the Apple leather case has won this year for me.
Also, I was going to upload pictures, but I think it's safe to say that I take pretty bad pictures. All of my cases just wind up looking like generic, indistinguishable, black rectangles.
