I am giving Otterbox Defender XT PRO another chance…trying to use it for 1 week before returning it to see if there is any redeeming feature that i want….

But I agree with you guys…Otterbox seems to be going downhill in quality.

The other day after lamenting here how Caudabe doesn't make the Synthesis for the 12 Pro Max (by the way, the ONLY iPhone 12 model they don't make it for), I decided to send their support an email practically begging them to make it.

I got a reply and it sounds like it's going to be their first MagSafe case to come out!

Torras Crystal Clear is in. It's absolutely what I was looking for. I wanted a crystal clear case that would mimic what using the phone naked, but still offered some protection. I know there are cases out there that are even thinner than this, but I do stilled need some protection, not a 1mm shell.

Pros:
Very clear. Can only see the microdots if you hold the phone close to your face
TPU is flexible so easy to take on and off without scratches
TPU around the port is softer than the rest of the case, but no drop
Lip around the screen and camera is barely noticable, but just enough that I feel protected against scratches
Very clicky buttons

Cons:
There are spots around the side where it could fit a little tighter
The dots are there, so if you are looking for the clearest case on the market this is not for you
It is not grippy. It's not slippery either, but definitely not grippy
Fingerprint magnet- but so is the naked phone, so this doesn't bother me

I got the Caudabe Sheath and the fit was poor, eventually I got the Otterbox Symmetry. The fit is perfect and it’s slim and protective. Hopefully I’ll try the Sheath again but we’ll see.

Nomad Rugged in rustic brown finally came in. I put the leather balm on and let it sit for a couple of hours and the leather just feels amazing. Smells nice too.

Buuuut the cutouts on the bottom are awful. Uncomfortable on the pinky. Shame. Are lanyards really that popular?

So is it a keeper? Are the eyelet cutouts annoying or are they pretty deep? I'm hesitant about trying this case due to debris potentially getting in through the bottom of the case.

I’m not sure yet. I’m going to have to give it a day or two. Maybe I can adjust my grip (ha!).
What brand of leather balm did you use?
Nomad I guess. Came in the package.

Probably the other downfall with the buttons v apple's leather case. You can get used to adjusting the pinky but still not as soft as apples.
I have cancelled my brown magsafe version, can't see the point in having 2 Nomads and the apple leather, just for magsafe in car on trips and work.

Wait are they actual eyelets(not cutouts, but an actual eyelet that doesn't feed into the stainless steel bottom) or lanyard cutouts(regular cutouts intended for lanyard)? It's really hard to tell on youtube or in pics.

Wow, that's a full on cutout. Wish they had eyelets on the edge of the case by the bumpers like the Catalyst or the Moment cases. That's unfortunate. Thanks for the pic.
No idea what you are on about but these are a leather case with some drop proof, not a military grade 10ft drop protection sealed up waterproof case lol

Well, the Influence is not a waterproof case. It has 10ft drop protection though. However, doesn't the Nomad have shock protection up to 10ft? The cushion on the sides of the internal lining is a shock proof system. I know they are leather cases, but the Apple one is almost edge to edge protected with the exception of the silent switch. The Moment may be a luxury case, but its no drop proof case. However, it has a eyelet that many have connected their peak design anchors to. That is also an eyelet by the bumper, not in the cutout.

I gave one to @VaderRulez a few hours ago as they asked me a few pages back, maybe if they don't use it they will give to you, i had given it to someone else but they said it didn't work, but i tested it and it did.

I just used the code to order a case. Sorry @Hooterville if I had seen this post first I would have given it to you. :(

Moment Cutouts looks the same as Nomad to me.

Wow, they are exactly the same. I must of been thinking of a different case. My bad. There's tons of filmmaking iPhone cases. Got this confused with Lightchaser Pro, which uses the correct cutouts.
