Thank you! Do you have a pic of the back of the actual phone after use? That is a lot of dust. Wow. My catalyst influence is dust free for now. Is dust getting trapped in the case around the volume and power relief cuts, bottom cutouts and lanyard hole? Does anyone else have this issue with certain cases?
No, no dust around the button cut outs actually. The back of the phone is just as new, nothing to point out there.

I might have found my perfect case! I was at Best Buy and they had a speck grip for $18. I figured why not try out, it is really amazingly good! The old version grips i hates because they turn pockets inside out and wear away. The new ones are nearly as grippy but the ridges are not silicone so no pockets inside out. They also changed it so it’s more like the solid suit, zero give anywhere. I’m holding it and the solid suit side by side and the grip is definitely better! Buttons are just as good as the solid suit, plus it’s got the correct asymmetric cutouts

I promise you i don’t work for speck, but if you like the solid suit definitely try the speck grip.

Wish I had known about this morning when I rode past Best Buy and didn't even go in. :(

If BB wasn't 45 miles away I would head right over there.

I normally find better deals online or honestly... local Walmart. Sometimes bestbuy has good clearance, and I always check Amazon before I go in there. They price match.

Well, spoke too soon. The speck is going back. It’s a great case but for whatever reason it doesn’t work with my wireless charger. True, I could just plug it in but I would rather not settle for a partial working case. I guess the grip ridges make it just thick enough to interfere with the charger?

Absolutely. Sure, wired charging is supposed to be better for the device... but wireless (especially in my car and office) is better, and you shouldn’t settle. Was it offering to charge the device at all? There are quite a few reliable brands pumping out MagSafe cases now, have you looked into any?

Poetic Spartan in Metallic Green. Love this case. Haha I dropped the phone when I was taking these pictures and not a single scratch on the case or phone.

Stopped using MagSafe (which I can't prove, but suspect of running down my battery health) and switched back to using a black Speck Grip case. The case is so rugged it makes my phone feel like a tank. It's reassuring. 😁

Well so far it’s been really hard finding a case i like. The solid suit with some grip tape outs my current favorite.

I liked the speck but it didn’t work with my wireless charger.

Apple leather was too loose

Blackbrook leather was just awful in every

Catalyst Influence was good but because of how they angled the sides it’s actually uncomfortable to hold.

Am i just too picky or are this years cases struggling?

If you don’t like the influence’s sides try the vibe also from catalyst.

You’re not too picky. Case manufacturers seem to be struggling with the new (old) design of the 12 series this year.

I’ve tried probably 20 different cases and I keep coming back to the Caudabe Sheath. I’m waiting for them to release the Synthesis with MagSafe for the 12 Pro Max, but even then I’m not sure it’ll top the Sheath for me.
