Agreed. mous and nomad need to get there act together. I’m fine with lanyard holes if they are built into the bumper(catalyst), but mous, moment and nomad seem to create cutouts that they claim are eyelets. It only causes more dirt and debris to get into the case. The asymmetrical holes aren’t helpful either. i get that not every brand can utilize the full body protection like catalyst but they can definitely omit those pointless lanyard cutouts from the design. I also don’t understand these volume relief cuts(slits) on some of these case brands. How hard is it make decent tactile buttons without making a slit? I’m talking to you Mous, caseify, moment( thin case) and even pitaKa.

I agree. Did anyone hear anything about the Surf Blue or a lighter shade of blue? I currently am rocking a Navy Blue silicon for my 12 Pro Max?

It usually is - I have a feeling this coming week they will...along with software updates.
Hoping so! What’s odd is from what I remember in the past years, some of the colors would start selling out in preparation for the newer colors to come out. I just peeked on the apple website and all of the silicone colors are in stock still.. but then again Apple is the king of curveballs so I wouldn’t put anything past them at this point.

I got an email from Mous to take a short survey and at the end I got a 25% off code. So I went to take a look.

$95 for the Limitless 4.0 for the 12 Pro Max???

It's still $71 with the 25% off!

What the hell are they smoking asking almost $100 for a damn case???
I’ve never seen the appeal of Mous cases when I can get a case that’s just as good if not better for a fraction of the price.

I'm afraid this will get lost in this huge thread, but I'll try anyway :)

I'm looking to upgrade to a 12 Mini (or maybe 13 Mini if it happens)

I bike and am in the weather all the time. I've been using Otterbox on my phones for years but... I was thinking of getting a blue phone, so a clear case would be nice. Their colorways are nowhere near as nice as they were in earlier years either :-/

I've also used Lifeproof but was rarely able to get the touch id working with it (which I know isn't an issue with the 12 Mini)

I also realize the new phones are way more water resistant than my old ones but I still need to protect it from bumps and drops.

Both brands do have their share of issues. All that said, are there reasonably tough cases for the minis? I tried googling articles and came up with a lot of brands I'd never heard of so I think I'm a little out of touch with current offerings.

Thanks!

Since you bike a lot, you might want to take a look at Quad Lock cases. I've never used one personally, but I've heard good things and they seem tailormade for someone that bikes.

Got my phone rebel for the 12 PM yesterday, not bad but not great. The bottom is a little weak and the volume and power areas are also easy to pull away. I'll keep it but not sure I'd recommend it to others. I'm also sending back my apple leather case, very disappointed in it. Tomorrow will be my solid suit trial. So far if I had to pick between the Phone Rebel and the ringke onyx I would pick the Ringke

Thank you! I don't use it as a bike computer though - last time I tried that it overheated in the sun and it really chewed up battery time. I will see if they have a regular case though :)

I do seem to drop my phone enough to concern me, and there is always the possibility of falling ON it while mountain biking.

Oh, I meant their cases. They do have one for the 12 Mini.

omg.... what are they thinking!?? when it came out it was $65, then it went up to $74.99... now $95!??? This is insanity... the case is pretty decent, but probably not worth more than $39.99. If you want one, i chucked mine up on ebay for $60... nice case, but i'm back to the silicone.

See, I thought when the 4.0 came out it was $75 or so. I remember asking about yours a week or two ago and going to look at it and that was the price. Then I go to look after getting that 25% off code and it's $95!

That's insanity.

yeah, it is... maybe if it included a charger or car mount... but wow. I'd really like to see an explanation of the price hike.

Finally gave in and ended up ordering Kumquat silicone. Power of orange was too strong.

Sold my phone rebel case, IMO it sucked.
I'm still rolling in the SlipperySuit with orange buttons.
