I need a case for my 12 pro. Is there any kind of thin grip case? The 12 pro is more comfortable to hold but if I have to touch something in the notch area or slightly beneath, I have to change my grip and then it feels very slippery. The silicone apple ones have a slippery surface right? Not that kind of sticking silicone?

The Apple silicone cases are much easier to hold and grasp in hand, in my opinion.

Same. The plum colour will look great with Pacifico blue

I’ve ordered a blue leather one and a cheap clear one, but am thinking the plum looks really good with the blue phone & wallet so am tempted to just get one of those instead.

Just picked up the iPhone 12 leather case. The leather seems softer than in previous years. There seems to be no glossy layer over the leather. A little slippery but grip should get better over time as it wears. Decent lip protection. The leather lip does not wrap around the front of the phone (similar to the silicone case) so you can see a bit of the aluminium side of the phone.

I wouldn’t trust this case in a drop but apart from that I’m quite impressed

Picked one up too, in black. Happy to finally be done with cases for a bit.

What do you guys think has more grip, the apple silicon or the leather case? Or clear case?

Initially the silicone has more grip. But I can see the leather becoming just as grippy over time.

The Apple leather case has a similar texture to Bellroy leather cases which from my experience become quite grippy over time.

Best Buy, and verizon don’t seem to have the apple leather cases in stock near me. I ordered a blue leather from apple store. Had option to pick it up tomorrow or get it shipped. I’m lazy and didn’t feel like driving to the apple store, so I got it shipped, and will arrive Wed. Now the long wait...

I’ve got a Nomad rugged case for the Max with a Zagg screen protector. All I need is a phone.

I used to use leather cases from Apple until they started to have a large single cut out at the bottom. I may switch to an Apple case sometime in future, but I’ve been happy with the Nomad case for a while now so I’m in no hurry to change.
I’m using the Natural Nomad rugged and a spigen ez fit screen protector. So far so good. I usually always use apple leather cases, but I’m trying to switch it up this year.

I picked up a Baltic Blue leather case for my gold 12 pro at the Apple store today. It is really pretty and looks great on the gold phone.

It takes a good 3 weeks for the Apple leather case to not be slippery any more. It starts getting some good grip to it after that time period. The more you handle the leather case the better, as the oils from your fingers work into the leather and create better contact points.

Leather Baltic Blue case. Picked it up earlier for my Pro Max Graphite
Since I can't just walk into the Apple Store and browse, I had I go by pictures, color of a AW Baltic Blue band.

Not 100% sure right now on the color, under certain lighting it looks good, maybe too bright in other conditions...maybe I'm just not used to it.

I have to see it on the actual phone next week, not on my current XS Max. If not, I'll return it, maybe exchange for Saddle Brown.
