They’re ok. It’s really just a raised bump on the sides of the case that you kind of have to mash to get any sort of feedback from. I’ve gotten used to them over these last couple of weeks and I really don’t see myself using a different case at this point. I do really like that carved case though, but I think I’ll stick with the Nomad for now.

@KentuckyHouse, definitely! I’d ask for a replacement case or a refund if my Nomad didn’t fit correctly. Nomad’s customer support I pretty good.

I’ve always loved Nomad’s cases, but for the price, I couldn’t justify keeping it this time around. I just decided to go ahead and return it and try something else. I may try the Bellroy leather case when they release them in a couple of weeks. I had one on my Pixel 4 XL and really liked it, so I’m hopeful I’ll like the one for the 12 Pro Max.

Are the Nomad cases on Amazon?

In case anyone is looking for a Caudabe case, they’re offering 30% for Black Friday using the promo code “BF2020”. I finally picked up a Sheath (despite the fit issues which hopefully have been resolved).

I just received my replacement Sheath case yesterday. The fit is perfect and the buttons are slightly raised compared to the original one. I'm very happy with it.

I also just ordered a Rhinoshield Solidsuit (10% off on Amazon with another 15% off clickable coupon). I've read good things about that case and I wanted to try it out.

What color case did you get. Can't decide between the Gray or the Navy for my Pacific blue 12 pro.

First I ordered a Smartish Kung Fu grip case in blue before the iPhone 12 pro max was even released. Once the phone arrived and I installed the screen protector, I put the case on and found terrible button action just like the other posters had said. It also pushed on my screen protector and created some bubbles. I’ve since contacted them and have a new one on the way, for free which is nice. I ordered some new screen protectors too.

In the meantime I ordered a Caudabe Sheath in black(would have preferred grey, but it was out of stock).

Buuuut since that hasn’t even shipped yet, I decided to give the Ringke Onyx a try and it’s pretty awesome. I went with a dark grey one and my only complaint is a slightly saggy lip on the bottom near the lightning port.

I also bought a Smartish Kung Fu grip but in clear. I had the same issue with the buttons and got my replacement last week. The buttons do feel better. I wish the case was a bit thinner (and lighter). Curious to know when you ordered your Sheath and why it’s taking so long to ship?

Good to know about the Ringke Onyx. I read in this thread that it’s similar to the Sheath so that’s a good cheaper option as well.

Ah, I ordered the Caudabe case on Friday so the fact that it hasn’t shipped yet isn’t a huge deal.

However, since I had the issue with the Smartish case I’ve been going caseless. So I also ordered the Ringke case from Amazon so I had something. It arrived Saturday afternoon.

Anyone have any experience with the tech 21 cases (evo check, evo clear or evo slim)?
I’m currently using the evo check on the 12 pro and really like it. The back shows prints, but they can wipe off easily. The case doesn’t add too much bulk and feels really good in the hand.

Thanks! I’m still waiting for Caudabe to release the updated synthesis cases. They have been listed as “out of stock” for weeks already.

I have the evo check as well, and have had it since day 1. Nice case, the finger prints are annoying and the case feels a bit grimy after constant use.

Been using the incipio grip in black. Very impressive

Got the caudabe synthesis on order for my 12P. I really like the sheath and have used them for years but want a bit more protection this year.
