OK, pulled off my clear rear camera protector as the phone started hunting quite a bit to focus.
Installed this solid aluminum protector from Whitestone dome that keeps the cameras and sensors wide open.

How can this protect your cameras if everything is wide open?

Here is a pic, I kind of like the looks of this one better and no focus hunting

I’m not a fan of any of those camera lens protectors. They make the phone’s look cheap & if they compromise one of the best features (camera) AT ALL, then they‘re an even bigger waste.

You rarely ever hear of anyone scratching the camera lenses, so I’m not sure why you’d even bother, especially when you have a medium-high protective case on the phone anyway.

I originally got the Smartish Gripmunk just to have something before I get a nicer case, but I‘ve come to really like it. I like the feel in hand more than the Sheath. I just wish it had clicker buttons, it’d be near perfect if it did. For now, I’ll wait and see what people say about the new Phone Rebel case.

I switched from the 13 mini to the 13 recently. Should I grab an apple silicone for it or wait till next month for the spring colors?

Do you guys really like those Rebel cases? They strike me as mediocre at best and after a few days it would be most likely replaced with another better case, IMHO.

Oh man wait for the spring colors! It’s a rare occasion someone gets a new phone around this time frame, so it’s a perfect time to take advantage of those fresh colors for the spring and summer

I’ve been meaning to ask what the big deal is about them. I mean, I feel like I’ve seen that same case design in 10 other cases. If someone can articulate what the big deal is about the Rebel cases, I’m all ears.

All I care about is having the bottom lip flattened for easy home swiping. Do many other cases have that? It seems like most only do the left and right sides.

Which ones?

The PhoneRebel's come in at the edges to try & minimise the form factor. They also have a split design, where you have a coloured front whilst having a transparent rear so the phone's backside can still be seen.

Their Flex series completely does away with the edges - these are the more uniquely designed cases by them. I've seen others like this (I have one), but none claim to have the drop protection of this Flex series whilst exposing so much of the phone.

Shipping Feb 1st means that they are shipping from China to him via slow boat. Give him another 60 days or more.
Think I'll just blow my Rebel case money elsewhere after he mislead us like that.

Tempted to try the UAG Essential Armor
Solely based on the quality of his cases, I’m hesitantly willing to accept his “Chinese New Year”, “re-tooling”, “factory delay” BS.

I was waiting for the black gen 3 rebel. When I checked the site this morning, only the red was adding to cart.

My second choice was the black frosted. I was surprised to see the product description saying that there was no MagSafe for frosted! The images also showed the frosted case with no MagSafe ring.

While I was browsing the site, cases started selling out right before my eyes! I quickly ordered the red rebel case, even though I’m not 100% sure about the color.

This evening I checked the site and everything is in stock! On top of that, the description for the frosted cases now say MagSafe compatible. He also changed the website photos of the frosted case to include a MagSafe ring! What gives???

Are you sure?

I think the red/black Frosted always had MagSafe, whereas the clear one had the option for MagSafe or non-MagSafe.

Same with the Crystal - coloured versions come with MagSafe only, but the clear has the option.

Yeah, now the site lets you toggle between MagSafe and non-MagSafe. But this morning, all 3 frosted cases said “MagSafe:
NO”.
