It was a decent case, just did not thrill me. Guess I'm a glutton for punishment

Can't believe you actually took the plunge.
I'm all the way down in Florida, out in the woods, so it will be a while before I see it.
Black and Frosted Gen 3 Rebel cases will be here Saturday. Not sure if I tried them for the 12 series so curious how they actually compared to my other favorites.

Rebel Gen 3 case already a noticeable downgrade from Gen 2
Gen 3 now has thin microfiber interior lining instead of that nice soft silicone lining of Gen 2. Blue silicone bumpers only on corners instead of across the whole top. Wonder what other corners have been cut?

Yea, that Gen 3 pic he just posted today on Instagram. Got my tracking # last night and it shows arrived in Portland, Oregon (long way from Florida)
Well that kind of blows compared to Gen 2. Hmmm. Maybe I will end up with something different.
Microfibre lining’s great. Better than none. But even no lining isn’t a huge deal for me.
I don’t think the removal of that protective strip along the top will make much difference - if the phone landed there, the shock will be spread anyway. They may have even strengthened the material around the edge from last year, negating the need for extra internal strip. It also may reduce the size (height) & weight of the case slightly.
Nice. Probably since you paid extra. I just got the typical label created message lol.
PhoneRebel are hopeful shipping to my region will fully open up this year & hence decrease the costs, so i'm waiting it out for now.
