As a response to the community’s concerns on the detachable volume buttons, Phone Rebel has implemented a new, more durable buckle button design for their cases, currently in CNC production. They’re listening!

Good news but they had so long to develop this case. I got a 50% refund which I was happy with and kept the case. It’s a good case!

I just picked up the Apple silicone case on sale and I have to say I really enjoy how far off the screen the front lip is.

I measured my Spigen Ultra Hybrid Matte case (my favorite so far) and the lip comes to about 2cm of the actual screen. The Apple case gives another 1-2cm of display real estate so that edge swipes are much better.
You realize that 1cm is over 3/8" and 2cm is over 3/4". I think you meant mm.

Just emailed Phone Rebel and started a return on my Gen 3 Rebel. You only have 15 days to return and my case was delivered on the 7th. I'll report back when I hear from them.

Don't get stuck with defective crap, you only have 15 days from delivery to get a refund.
I'll reorder when the improved version comes out, hopefully before the iPhone 15 drops.

So I received the Otterbox Core Series just now, one white and one black.

It has a nice soft texture and you can feel the specks that make up the case, only barely.
It‘s not as gummy as the official silicone case and definitely not sticky.

Buttons are tactile and clicky.

The camera protection is even on all sides and is much more raised than the Apple cases.

The front lip wraps around the front of the phone a lot more and you can’t see the stainless steel band at all. There are now no gaps between the case and my screen protector and swiping back and forth feels smoother.

It is slightly thicker and wider than the Apple leather case, but not by too much.

I’m definitely keeping these!

Black with graphite iPhone 13 PM and white with Sierra Blue iPhone 13 PM.

i got the dark one, I really like it. I'd LOVE it if they had one where the specks are glow in the dark but I guess that would defeat the eco regrind aspect

To those of you getting the Otterbox Core cases, where are you finding matching shoes? ??

Picked up the Elago Slide from Amazon for $US15

Good value TPU case which comes in various colour combos.

Feels nice to touch, not at all slippery

Buttons are fine doesn’t take too much effort.

Doesn’t attract dust like silicone cases.

Good lip protection

Only negative is the rear camera part which is a bit bulky for my liking.

Not necessarily. Wait it out & see what they do.

If you hear nothing, then get into contact with them & put the ball in their court for your specific case.

My speckled nightmare continues ?

My buttons haven’t peeled off yet.

But I enjoy the other aspects of the Gen 3’s design enough that if the magnets or button adhesive fails I’ll just reinstall with my own.

Why other case manufacturers don’t use Phone Rebels front bezel design really confuses me.

I have no problem with the buttons on the gen 3 rebel don't see what all the fuss is about. Once the phone is in the case they won't go anywhere
