Picked up the Elago Slide from Amazon for $US15

Good value TPU case which comes in various colour combos.

Feels nice to touch, not at all slippery

Buttons are fine doesn’t take too much effort.

Doesn’t attract dust like silicone cases.

Good lip protection

Only negative is the rear camera part which is a bit bulky for my liking.

I was about to order a couple of these when I noticed they're not MagSafe-compatible. Bummer.

Kinda seems like a whole lotta hullabaloo about nothing to me. I’d lean more toward agreeing with the PR development team on this. If you’re aware they can potentially come out when you remove your case, which most people won’t be doing regularly, there’s really no reason to worry.

As long as they’re solid while it’s on the phone, they’re serving their purpose, IMO. If it bothers ya, the suggested superglue solution would probably resolve it with little to no effort.

Edited to add: I’m by no means saying Phone Rebel shouldn’t be doing this in production. They’ve realized the error of their ways and are in the process of correcting it. Let’s not run for the pitchforks just yet.

Gen 3 Rebel cases have a tiny Band Aid holding in the buttons

Can't decide if I should return this case or not?

Vader, you returning or keeping the Gen 3?

This is exactly why I went with Pitaka, if I’m protecting a very expensive phone I either want a real protective piece of plastic or metal.

Aramid Fibre is a great idea and since it’s open you don’t have issues with the plastic buttons falling off or just not always working.

I was also considering Mous and Spigen but for the price and quality of the material it’s a great choice. It’s stays very cool and the magnets are so much better than naked.

I keep trying to go away from the Gen 3 but it’s right back on my phone. Even with the flaws on the buttons I still like it. I take my case off all the time and the buttons have been holding. Even doesn’t pull apart as easy. It’s like they break in over time.
Can you try the Rhinoshield SolidSuit buttons in the Gen 3 and see if they work?

I don’t have a work phone anymore so these iPad shots will have to do.

Not having a go, but why do people only post shots of the back of the phone? Sides (showing any lips) & front (showing how far around the case covers the front bezel are just as/more important imo.

? He just said his buttons are surviving (perhaps literally by a thread) & you want him to tear them out! ?

That scene from Sin City comes to mind, where Bruce Willis rips out that yellow guy’s Johnson ???

This isn’t the first Aspen that’s been posted here. I’d be happy to photograph something closer if you’re actually interested.

Still have mine on. I really like it. In my top 3 for sure.
