So I’m currently using Apple’s leather case for my iPhone 13PM and it’s holding up very well. No complaints but one minor dislike is the huge lip around the screen. Is anyone aware of a MagSafe case out there that doesn’t have as tall of a lip around the screen? TIA.

Well I do like the black MagSafe ring, Wish Apple would quit being lazy, cheap and color coordinate their clear cases to match our phone colors. I personally hate the ugly white ring.

Again I agree that goofy Air Cushion text is so unnecessary. Is that etched into the plastic?

Yeah, on the inside. I haven’t looked at whether it would be able to be scratched out.

I tried one of these once and didn’t like the branding. It’s been a complaint for so long idk why they don’t fix it… looks gorgeous otherwise!

Agreed!

I’d recommend the Aspen from Andar. If you want leather. That or Bullstrap.

I switched back to my Apple Midnight leather and was immediately turned off by the feel of the leather. Just weird. Right back to the Spigen.

I lurk in this thread often, but never post. However, my Carved Live Edge came in today so wanted to share.

Thanks for the feedback. The bull strap looks heavy and bulky to me but I’ll check out the Aspen.

theres nothing wrong with the phone rebel buttons lol i mean when the phone is in the case they wont fall out sheesh

I got the Spigen ultra hybrid clear case for my 13 Pro and it yellowed real bad on the sides in couple of weeks. Pretty much had it at home. Not sure it’s cause of the weather, it gets warm out here. The yellowing was hard to look at, I just went ahead and bought the Apple MagSafe clear case.
Have been using it for a day, it’s slippery for sure but great to look at.Am comfortable holding it and taking it out of my pocket. Real test will be when WFH ends.

I noticed how there is no camera bump on that case yet the cameras are recessed. Then I looked at that case on their website.

It looks to add quite a bit of thickness.

Yes it does, but it is an all wood case. Since it is all wood there is more thickness so that the case is more durable. An all wood case made of a thin layer of wood would probably not be very protective for your phone.

For people who want something that is not as thick and offers more protection, they have the Traveler which is a thinner slab of wood that has the rubberized edges.

This case is not for someone who is looking for something lightweight that you cannot tell is there.

My husband has an Otterbox on his 13PM and that makes his phone feel like a tank and isn’t pleasing for me to hold/use at all.

For me, the added thickness is worth it to have such a beautiful case made of natural material that doesn’t make me want to pick up my phone less. It actually does the opposite now since I enjoy looking at the back of my phone.

I noticed a scuff on my Gripmunk pretty much since day 1. I thought I’d bumped it on something and never thought anything of it until I looked at my MagSafe Duo today. Not a big deal, but kind of unfortunate. As soon as Rhinoshield puts out a MagSafe case, I’ll be buying one in addition to their Apple Watch case.

Also, may be a reason for some sort of compensation? You can't have a case be permanently impacted like that just because you placed it on a wireless charger. Is it the case's poor manufacturing or the charger's heat that caused it? Either way, it may be worth calling the case maker & show them those photos, to at least let them know that their coating isn't reacting well to heat...If their MagSafe cases are made the same way, you may be doing them a favour - to potentially recall them & address this issue.

That’s a good idea. I sent them an email.

I’m 100% there with you! I tend to flip my phones face down now too (traveler or live edge… doesn’t matter!). I think the cases are incredibly gorgeous no matter which you get between the two styles. I have my live edge and don’t feel like it’s thick at all. The traveler is pretty thin too imo. But then again I like the fact that my phone is such a gorgeous piece of art versus the mass produced same-as-everyone- else type of case. That’s why I love carved and I get different ones from them because it’s never the same as anything else… anywhere!

Plus they’re incredible people there running it all. Super caring for their customers! I love a company like that. There’s nothing they won’t do to make you happy
